i'm 16 stone and have no problem with sae 5 in the forks.don't think you would notice any difference with sae 7,Might be cheaper for your shocker if u can pick 1 up of e bay, although you might be able to get it repaired.but normally your shocker will have no damping, with the adjuster missing.Or ring Jim Snell up,for more info.
-
Looks like the damping screw has snapped,so in affect the shocker will be u/s,they do snap very easily.
-
Yes if the same site.it's a 85 ty 250 s in white engine no's from 59n 000101 to 005000

ikb don't always mean he's maintained the bike he's selling,Bought my last bike privately, which i do anyway, normally cheaper, more so when on a tight budget,The last 1 i bought chap had nice clean garage,Big box Snap on tool box.immaculate Montesa 4RT,and a tidy Yamaha ty 175,but Gas Gas i bought needed chain sprockets, gearbox sprocket tooth missing,no oil in the forks, besides other things.and that was a add in the classifieds on Trials Central, He might read this. All i can say i take your time and inspect it well.Wherever you buy from.
-
The white fork legs came out in 2011,unless they have been painted, but Marzocchi were fitted from 2004 when they switched to 40mm from 38mm http://www.gasgasmot...odels-1-/2.html this link will take you to handbooks and other info.
-
Any chassis no.I know the feeling had my 2002 rev3 and 2 gas gas txt 200's stolen fortnight ago, only took the bikes.left petrol chain saw /strimmer mig welder, plus loads of other bits they could have taken.

This is a pic from parts book,i know my 321 silencer was same as pic, just slotted of the middle box with the 2 o rings
-
You can use this if it helps
-
I do not know the bearing code but check this out http://www.haventria...bearing-p-22648 lot cheaper
-
Yea i don't know if it's a common fault but i had a busted spring in one of my fork legs,in my txt gasser ended up buying a pr of fork legs with a bent stantion just for the spring, think i may still have the other,so if u find it is the spring that's snapped, you can have it for price of postage.should be somewhere in my garage.Found the forks also have both plastic spacers
-
Hi without hearing the noise or rattle it would be hard to say,but if u still got plenty of power, why not just remove the barrell and head as one, that way you only to renew the base gasket, bit of a tight squeeze but can be done in situ,to check the state of the piston, rings, small end bearings i did that to mine, and found a lot of play in the little end bearing,
-
There's this one on e bay at moment which should be same as yours,http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/98-Gas-Gas-Trials-AJP-Rear-brake-caliper-Beta-JCM-Montesa-/251286661909?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3a81da2b15

-
Welcome back to trials, hope u enjoy it,very nice picture by the way.
-
http://www.bvm-parts...product_id=2270 but going down 1 tooth less on the gearbox,is roughly equal to 3 on rear. the other sprockets listed are no good to your machine,as they are 4 bolt fixing,as yours is 6.

I would stick to the 126cc 10/30, atf would be far too thin a oil for your forks, more so with your weight.i had no problems with the standard set up on my ty 175,and i'm nearly 16 stone. But my ty long gone, wish i had it back sometimes, lol
-
I made frame protector from flexible plastic years ago,and tie wrapped it on.just made a template with a piece of cardboard.but i have seen somewhere one made for the honda's,that slips around the frame, just cant recall where.
-
Hi 450cc oil for your gearbox, maybe the bearing in the fan has dried out, which can happen if a jet wash has been used when cleaning the bike, As for the clutch see if its any better with the new oil in your transmission.
-
Well the first thing is to change the oil,I use ATF 550cc and have no problem with clutch drag from cold. Recommended is BARDAHL gearbox 20/40 Also i change mine quite regular,as ATF is cheap enough,to do this. But as posted above sometimes the clutch can bit a bit sharp, with ATF a lot thinner and releases quicker.
