Insurance.....
Sherco arent listed by Bennetts in their drop down menu, Bennetts said they couldn't insure my Sherco when I rang them. I was telling the story at the trial and a friend said its under Bultaco Sherco which I think must be due to the original bike being called a Bultaco ? So I tried again under Bultaco Sherco and it was fine. Madness really Anyway I have now taken out a policy with MSN as described by John. Third party only is

Fujigas Takes The 1st Spanish Round!
Theres a bit of anti Raga sentiment kicking around these forums these days, what did he do wrong ? I think we should respect people who can call themselves World Champion regardless of nationality. ONLY two WTCs to his name ? 99% of riders couldnt attempt one of those WTC sections when people suggested Dougie was over the hill many people got upset about it so why is ok to have a pop at Raga ? Not getting at you in particular CK

Tested In The White Heat Of Competition......
Ham, hows it going ? The clocks change this weekend so we can do all that riding we had planned for last summer that never happened starting next week ( well one of us needs to be fit for the first week of May ) I had back trouble recently, first time for me, I tried to get Baby Buddah out of his cot quickly and everything locked up faster than Valentino Rossi ! big ouch saw a physio a few times who gave me exercise and ibuprofen but a month on I was panicking with the SSDT coming up and no real improvement. Saw an Osteopath instead, one session

Raga Zero Wins Indoor
This is from memory The Mont is pure factory. the quality of the suspension on the Mont was miles ahead of the Gas Gas, Bou has factory showa kit and the tester couldnt believe how it performed, very supple on the slow stuff but didnt bottom out on the big hits, 4 speed box, 3 ignition maps tuneable via bluetooth, 300cc at least, footrests are set up for the bike being on the rear wheel, ie they are pitched forwards. And the items that were not titanium or machined ally were basically the mudguards, maybe not quite true but you get the idea. I think the weight was similar to Ragas Gas Gas, thats a huge saving over a production Mont, I dont know what a production Mont is meant to weigh but it feels very heavy if you have just stepped off a Gas Gas Ragas bike sounded quite dissapointing in comparison, it has the old style Ducati Ignition as Gas Gas have better knowledge of this system (?) ans a flywheel weight, sachs shock which is set up to be very lively, and the usual stuff most privateers do like an S3 front pipe, carbon silencer, Keihin carb etc. To ride the gas Gas sounded quite lively, almost unstable. Martin Sandiford claimed at the SSDT that Laia's bike cost

Btc Round 2
Yes Dabill looks to have been suffering under the Four Stroke, seems to be flying now Think he'll improve in the WTC ?

Too Reliable
you can t catch me Ive hated four strokes for ages and never miss an opportunity. I simply try to make as much noise as they do ps Isnt cabs pants on the 4t outdoors, where we all ride in case anyone had forgotten

Too Reliable
so if I owned a 4rt with a cracked sumpgaurd or broken kickstart stop or a dragging clutch should I post it in the four stroke or the Montesa forum ? there are any number of my Sherco 4T wont start threads in the sherco forum if you want a look Scorpas have an issue with thermo switches but this may get moved to the scorpa forum are you catching my drift yet ? perhaps we dont need a seperate four stroke forum and lack of postings to this forum is not necessarily because there are no four stroke issues.

Tc Or Tr ?

Talented rider obviously but he spends most of the time balancing with the clutch in, hows that poetry in motion ???? I think unless the section is timed as at world and British Champ level then we are going to see lots of queues this year.- Michelin Trial X Lite

Now I have two children its a bit far for me from Newcastle but I rode this when it was a brit championship round in 88,89 and 91. Its an excellent trial and had some great natural sections maybe next year for me. I'd love to ride trem again, best score was in 89 when I fived the second sub and cleaned the rest, big grins on the drive home !- New Gg For Adam Raga

from your photo of the bike you have red hoses fitted. check that the hose isnt expanding somewhere under pressure. It will be harder to spot the problem with the red hose and maybe thats why you havent noticed it ? Had this on a montesa with a Venhill replacement brake hose a few years ago- Tickets For World Round
thats ok then I got an automated email telling me the tickets had been dispatched in January which is why I was concerned. thanks for the replies- Tickets For World Round
Anybody actually received their tickets yet for the Carlisle world round ? I ordered mine in January but thay havent arrived yet- 2009 Ragas, Good Or What ?
yes copemech for the same reason people in your neighbourhood by a 290 Sherco and then retard the timing 5mm a bigger motor has more torque which suits me better even if I have to calm it down a little. If you try and increase power on a 250 thats quite difficult to achieve without making the power peaky. However calming down a bigger engine is cheap and you get more useable power, this can be done through flywheel weights, inlet spacers and even just a slow throttle.- 2009 Ragas, Good Or What ?
Peter have you had any main bearing issues after fitting a flywheel weight ? I'd like to try one but dont wish to comprimise reliability with the SSDT coming up.- Blue Tooth
Just that the minder can stand at the biggest step in the section to catch the rider rather than having to run about and that neither party needs to shout. If it wasn't any advantage I dont think they would use it ?- Jcm 240 Starting Problem
In those days we didnt used to run a tickover, ideally I used to set my bikes to run about 5 beats before stalling. you couldnt do that with that model JCM, if you left the tickover the same sometimes it would stall almost instantly sometimes 5 beats. Doesnt seem that important but when riding it was very difficult to gauge when it was about to stall. Problems at the SSDT were mainly the shock losing its damping due to the shim stack breaking up then bursting the rubber diaphram which held the oil. The major plus was the air filter system, that year it absolutely lashed it down but you couldnt drown a JCM, the air intake was up by the HT coil, a cracking idea. when re fitting the rear wheel always remember to connect the rear brake cable. Some people have been known to forget to do this and then crash into the SSDT time control hut in the car park.....- Jcm 240 Starting Problem
I rode my first SSDT on a bike just like that. Ignition system was poor as the spark is not reliable below about 1000rpm. Never had the problem you describe though. Hows the shock holding out ? pm if you need any more info I might be able to help you.- New Sections To Look Forward To
