I'm sure it is but please be patient, the club said hopefully week commencing 5th January and the club has lost one of its stalwart members recently
-
is this a recent issue ? ie since the cold weather started
the carb on a Gas Gas is more susceptible to icing up
-
arent you forgetting Dabster ?
-
is the padding in the knees anygood with the Jitsie gear ?
I like the hebo tech stuff as it has a better pad in the knee than other stuff
-
The games up for me after watching that
I have successfully cartwheeled a beta rev 3 down a hill after trying to ride over a 3 foot log and my a*se goes at the bottom of trotters burn in the ssdt...........
these people are either mental or I am utterly Sh*te on a motorcycle, I suspect its a bit of one and a lot of the other

The economic outlook isnt great but I think society suffers from the 24 hr news channels
If you have 24 hr news programmed in then the news reader needs somthing to say. For this reason I think in recent years items have been over reported, the same message getting repeated day after day, hour after hour.
When thats bad news on the economy then it reaches more people and affects consumer confidence to a greater degree which then makes more bad news ! ie people get the message on house prices or the limits on borrowing so spend less, this effects sales, the drop in sales gets reported etc etc
Turn the news off and life isnt so bad
Christmas was great but I wish it lasted a week as its hard to fit everybody in.
next year I'll buy a 4rt and start it up then that should clear out the neighbourhood !
-
Whats up with the suspension cope ?
it worked well enough for Fajardo on the Beta last year
-
The clutch rattle applies to the Pro Engine not the TXT edition engine.
Did you put any oil down the bore before storing the bike, how long is it since last used ?
-
Hi Slack
go to the sticker shop on Westgate Hill and ask for a bottle of Silkolene Pro FST (any silkolene dealer can get it but I know they usually have it in stock). Its a fuel additive to stop the carb icing up, add 15ml per litre of fuel and then whatever two stroke you use as normal, this will cure the problem.
I think the Gas Gas filter is often damp with it being next to the hole in the filter box and that makes them more prone to icing up.
I'd leave setting the carb until you have the FST in the fuel at this time of year as this may be the issue.

If I want to see somebody caked in false tan I can go out in Newcastle.
frankly Laia i'm dissapointed........
-
Its interesting to note that none of the betas in the reults were ridden by Kinell
still looking for the venue ???
happy new year mate

Check my previous posts if you wish but I'm certainly not anti Xispa, I'd like them to succeed.
BUT
I dont see how posting an email address for your own company isnt an advert ? email, phone, postal address whats the difference?
it would be fine if someone else posted it but not the importer themselves.
IF Shirty, John Lampkin and others could all post their contact details in the forums they wouldnt pay to fund the site through advertising.
why should xispa be different ?
-
Atomant perhaps you didnt but somebody has.
However there are two sides to this story, I'm sure Andy warned the importer earlier in the year about advertising in the forums, posting his email address is little different to an advert.
Any importer should be able to advertise as long as they contribute to the site like the other importers do.
Happy new year as Santa has been and gone

Its normal, I think its the clutch plates rattling in the clutch hub, when you pull in the clutch this applies some pressure to the plates and stops them rattling. All my pros have done this
-
That bloke should be BBC Sports Personality of the Year
You have to admire anyone who takes out all the bits where he didnt fall off and just leaves in the crashes.
Cool !!

-
is it me or is that actually a Gas Gas top yoke ? looks identical
-
North East England, it was four hours in the transit to Aberfeldy and I rode it in 82 when they had a schoolboy class and from 85 to the last one in 88 as an adult.
It was a fantastic trial
-
Dad had a trials bike shop and I was even worse at football than I am at trials.
Holidays included the SSDT and Aberfeldy, rode them as soon as I could.
used to spend the school holidays in the workshop or testing bikes in the car park
suppose there was only ever going to be one outcome...
Ive tried to pack in trials twice but accept now that its somthing to enjoy even when your an old git.
-
Nigel Birkett used to run an air cooled Gas Gas swing arm, wheel and disc in a pinky Yam
-
I think it depends who you ask !
I'm not trying to be funny, some dealers use synthetic, there is info on the Gas Gas USA website advising people NOT to use synthetic as it reacts badly with the clutch plate material and to use Dexron 3 ATF. I noticed last week that Trial and Enduro Direct are now selling Motul ATF which they recommend.
When I next change oil I'll try ATF, my 09 looks like it has synthetic motul in and to be fair its been fine so far.
-
was Doug riding the Evo, cant really tell from that photo ?
-
I'll get HAM2 my technical assistant to show me how to upload a photo and then you can see pictues
I'm going out today so lets hope i dont crash it !
-
He probably means this year all the two stroke models have a new frame. The 4T maybe late but its the latest 4T motor to be developed and its radically different to anything else on the market for trials. You are saying that the trials development dept at Gas Gas have been asleep ???
Now I dont understand what your getting at Neo are you really stevie wonder ?
-
Spencer can you explain what you mean by worked out for the better ?
is the clutch action faster or slower, is the clutch lighter or heavier to pull ?
I tried to fit the bigger cylinder last weekend but I was using a modified hose from a sherco and the bend at the clutch case end wasnt quite right so I couldnt get it to seal and had to take it off again for the trial.
this meant swapping from mineral to Dot 4 (couldnt get Dot 5 silicone at my corner car shop) and then back again. each time i just removed the hose and sucked most of the fluid out of the case with a syringe, then blew the rest out with an airline before rinsing it out again with brake cleaner. seems quicker to me than stripping the case off and didnt cause a problem.
