not sure what size needed but allow for somewhere to fit a std adapter bit into to take small drive sockets and screw driver bits. Becomes very universal then.

Seem to recall barrel is marked on N/s below inlet manifold A,B or C. Get Piston to suit and is the change part as bore doesn't wear unless damaged. Dont think rings and piston kit are silly money so if apart and you have concerns worth a swap. 315s are a little nosiy at tick over. A bit pinky!!! Best of luck

Whatever tools you take make sure you try them out in the garage first. Might find you can't get everywhere with a bulky spanner etc. Will the plug come out with an adjustable spanner? I welded 20mm stub cut off the large allen key needed for front spindle to an adjustable and also welded screw driver blade to it to make a multi tool. Drilled handle as well 2 tyre levers should suffice. Puncture repair patch also weights nothing but maybe handy if nobody is able to give you a new tube if you puncture early on in the day. Tie wraps essential - bit of rope/strapping again weighs nothing but may allow you to tie round rear wheel/tyre if tyre comes of the rim to get you off the moors. Worth running slightly higher front tyre pressure to avoid needing to use puncture stuff

Palm savers and donuts on good quaity grips seem to work really well. Helped me get 3/4 way round the scott without major issues with my hands . Just need a fix for the rest of the body

Possible pads/disc contaminated or glazed - water helps clean surface

A bit mad but love it. If fuel goes up much more will be ditching the Vito and 4rt for good old Crackerjack the cob cross thoroughbred - just don't tell the missus Ive nicked him to go to work on!

Just seen on other web site Graham Jarvis to ride Pidcock 4rt in SSDT and Scott. Looks like a super signing to me. Nice to see Pidcocks making an impact after 12 month as UK importer, also announcing a few supported riders. I'm sure my offer is in the post still!!!! Go Montesa

Would be a shame for all the hard work by the club to be wasted if the round was dropped from Championship but can't see how the the club can be 100% confident the correct route was ridden by all on the 6 alternate route sections. Scrubbing these 6 section for B,C,& D classes would seem sensible compromise. Lets hope it gets resolved fr everybodies benefit.

Route 1 all hard Route 2 all easy Route 3 35 easy, 5 hard. Final instructions/Program only stated 2 options therfore really should have been supplimentary instruction at the start that there was to be a 3rd combination rather than by chance seeing the starts cards as you mentioned.

Thought was a cracking ride round and organisation (apart from above issues ) was very good. However if there is any doudt that some riders did not ride the alternative route then these sections should be scrubbed from results. I can't actually recall any information or notices at the start stating a 3rd route was added to that stated in program but I could of missed it. This may of added to confusion.

Can't save much on PTB unless you see one second hand but Maps are available to down load on web sites and try find a friend with PC and leads - unless you just like playing once you get a couple of good maps in I wouldn't mess too much. You can always post the PTB to someone like Msport to load maps for you if you cant lend leads.Probaly cheaper than buying the full set up!

Not seen any other post on here other than the super quick results service but last weekends Normadale double header was a cracking weekend and thanks must go to all that helped put the two events on. I believe both trials had full entries and the organisers put on events that admirably catered for this number of riders.

I'm probably like the 170odd other watchers who can't move the rear wheel either but I find turning the front marginally in the direction you want the rear to go and then apply pressure to the opposite arm as you lift the back help. As the bike hopefully starts to move swing your hips to carry on with the movement. All about setting your centre of gravity moving in the direction you want to go! If in doubt just ride the bike with both wheels on the ground and leave the hopping to dibs and browny.

Tow balls are not expensive and maybe easier than making a plate. Also spacers plates available for a few pounds again maybe easier than making unless you have access to tool room equip

We use 4wd rack on Vito we strap 1 from LH handlebars to tow bar 1 from LH handlebar to lug on tow bar part of rack 1 from RH handle bar to lug on bike rack Strap round back wheel to upright - we call this our safety strap as if all else fails this will stop bike falling off

The observers, punchers, assistants, C of C and anybody else who helped should be thanked and classed as heroes. Everybody who is having a dig at the rules seems to be bystanders. Its very easy to be critical in hindsight but as a rider it is nice to get the benefit of the doubt for a momentary stop which with modern brakes, tyres, suspension etc its very easy to stop for a split second. Riders and observers don't want to be arguing about a momentary stop, let the spirit be adopted with a bit of leniency and you have a cracking trial like all the Normadales last year and he few Novogar/S3's I have ridden. Organisers/assistants/observers/helpers - carry on as Sunday please
