  1. Thats not fair, it depends on how you compare. As a national winner Dan is streets ahead, trials just arent the same.
  2. 2mm run out with trials tyres???? id love for my rims to be that good. Ive seen rims that are welded 4mm out.
  3. good tip woody, do you still wire them?
  4. Without a doubt Dibs is currently the best wtc rider we have in the UK (obvious) hes never done much better than his current position and having seen him ride 4Rt, Beta and gas Gas up close in wtc maybe slightly better on the gasser. Whether hes putting as much into the riding as he now has a secure lucrative contract and young family plus another on the way(?) is very hypothetical, but with all his bikes being "factory" i doubt one make or another will make much difference to his final position, surely? Which takes us back to the original post, no Fajardo and Dabill are the same as they ever were. Not sure what your anti-vertigo agenda is but efi is working fine looking at how the bike performs.
  5. It sounds as if you have the right attitude, and nerves are good, it shows you are thinking! Keep at it and keep competing. If you dont understand wgasa none of us do its an american thing (see hes from michigan)
  6. Not so sure that the recession hasnt skewed the hanging on of the older riders too, but in essence alot of youngsters have not progressed as they might have once have. Certainly the french have all but disappeared and they were very big on stop allowed, Moret pops up this last year and gets in above dibs in one round, so yes maybe, but all a bit hypothetical. we must have some sympathy with gomez gubian wigg gratterolla morris bethune and others of that generation that for 10 years growing up in the sport had one set of rules which they liked (generally) then when they came up to the top route someone moved the goal posts I do remember back in 07 08 having rounds with 50 plus riders and most of all was youths, this year theres been rounds of less than 6. Back on track, maybe Fajardo was never going to build on his one and only win in Andorra but youd have thought by now Fuji and Cabby would have moved away from the big stuff. So Dibs and Fajardo are much where they were 5 years ago.
  7. Well only basing my estimates on what he says(!) i have a minter must be 5500. so 4.6 is nearer the mark.
  8. The guy is Stav Chorley? Ive heard of him not sure how its worth 2695 but that means im sitting on 15 k in my sheds, anyone want a 340 let me know.
  9. Two things more than anything have hastened the demise of the WTC, 1) the removal of the progression of 125cc for youth to 18 (short term gain for pol tarres has ruined this class) and 2) the no stop rule being introduced but not enforced. Im not sure if no stop is good or bad but to allow stopping under no stop is a farce and has proved nothing, but more importantly improved nothing. My point here is Cabastany, raga, Fuji and now Fajardo have not been overtaken by youth because the sections have been eased to take into account no stop (to some extent) which has prolonged their careers and restricted the youths coming through because they know nothing except stop rules, and the competitive 125ccs arent there either. A lose lose situation, wheres Thierry when you want him?
  10. I think youre reading alot more into that than there is. I do feel for Button though, Alonso not so much.
  11. Clearly, you made an error, thanks for admitting so. FYI Fajardo has only ever won one round at Wtc a few years ago sure it was Andorra, but my guess is you are misinterpreting any rise from him as its more that crabby and Fuji are moving down.
  12. The ordinary ones are here in the uk now but the rr isnt coming till october ive been told
  13. If you ride a bit then id agree with scrauber, a bit here or there doesnt make any difference. I try to get my wheels trued once a year and that keeps them good enough. unless you have a proper set up for truing its a tricky job anyway.
  14. looks just south of santiago d c
  15. GG 249 where are you??????? "NO comment" ?
  16. But the standard bike was heavy, increase the weight limit increase sales?
  17. Perhaps James gas gas 249 can explain why he pulled the topic? Over to you gg 249?????
  18. lies, damned lies etc. As to what bike would you buy vs. What bike can you buy vs. what bike do you have very different answers. TRS have missed a big opportunity not getting bike out sooner.
  19. Leave everything loose, so carb out of inlet hose too far back and then get it on air box then carefully and slowly move all forward and align as you go.
  20. alpina is a trail bike you will not be using the clutch much so no cheap option.
  21. Agreed. We're all overweight. Mont is probably the best for abuse but all bikes need looking after.
  22. Start a topic then disappear thats your daddy off
  23. Jordi developed the JTGas well?
