Does anyone know if any of the aftermarket wheels offered by Jitsie will fit an 07 SY250? My wheels are battered and a need to source new ones. Thanks

Just seen a Scorpa described as an SY250, however, the Kickstarter is on the left! What engine is that? It looks like a decent , if old bike. So , I suppose all I want to know is, what is it and are they any good?

Hi freinds... I know this ia a long shot, but does anyone out here know of or know someone who may know of a Scorpa T-Ride for sale.....Ive gotten oled enought the normal trials bikes dont suit me too well anymore but want a good cross over bike to go where my 530exc won't. I like the I dea of the 4 stroke yamaha motor for the torque and fuel mileage as opposed to say the 2 stroke of the x ride by sherco....but I.may have to settle for one of those. New to trials. Bought a SY 250. The bike has been in storage through out 2019. the fuel tank now shows signs of external blistering. I suspect the fuel has reacted with what looks like a GRP tank. Is this an inherint Design flaw, should I have drained the fuel between use, Will the fuel eventually work its way through the tank, any risk of contaminated fuel will degrade the carb. Is there a cost effective repaire or a means of linning the tank or is the option to source a breakers replacement. There is also the issue of the tyre wall on the rear wheel is rubbing over the head of a bolt that secures the chain guard. The bearings feel sound, not sure if the issue is the wid…

Looking to upgrade my rear spring on my 02 scorpa sy250 does anyone know the dimensions of the rear spring or a spring that will work? I found this spring but unsure if it will work

Im looking into getting a new spring, and getting the shock re-con'd..... Does anyone know of a good place to buy the spring, and re-con, preferably near merseyside. I have read lots of posts that state rear sag should be around a third. I measured mine last night at about a half, (with me on), and the spring is wound right up. Maybe someone can tell me what spring to buy.....Im about 15st, (pure tea). Ive been searching for a second-hand rear shock but can't find one anywhere.......I initially wanted one off an 06, but finding them off any year is impossible. Cheers, Andy.

Has anyone replaced the rear brake lever on a ty125f? Mine's had a clout before I bought it and it's mangled. I've tried straightening it but it fouls the kick-start lever when kicking over. Does it need the lever specific to this bike, or will a replacement from such as Apico for other Scorpas fit? I've also found out that the original owner has spent a bit of money on this bike before he used it. The carb has been rejetted to Birkett recommendations, exhaust debaffled, and footpeg placement moved further back than standard. This was pointed out to me by Peter from Non Stop Trials. It's such a neat job that I never noticed it. What other modifications are there for this …

Hi....got an 06 SY250 with no fan. Fan works off a direct 12v battery feed but not from the bike's power supply. Wiring has been modified but looks okay and the ignition side is fine. Was thinking regulator for the fan but it looks like it has a rectifier and a capicitor in the circuit. Anyone know how to eliminate one or the other or which is most likely to be the culprit? I've just bought one of these wee beasties, and it's immaculate. It's registered April 2016. The query I have is regarding the speedo fitted and the readout. The handbook that came with the bike shows an instrument with multi function display, whereas my bike has the exact same basic instrument as the Sherco XY 125 from 2016. I'm not too bothered about the multi function display, but I'd like to know what the numbers mean on my basic speedo. OK, KPH is a given, but the numbers at the top of the screen, are they total kms travelled, or hours of use. I could find out next week when I've finished putting it back together after a good going over, but I'm impatient and like to…

ive just recently started trials on an 03 scorpa sy 250 which i got second hand from a farmer off ebay. id like to know the following: there is a dent and some small cracks from where the kick starter at some point has hit the engine side casing. it doesnt seem to leak, is it worth getting it welded next time the casing has to come off to do the clutch? looking at the bike i know the scilencer wont have been cleaned out, how do you clean scorpa scilencers/middle box? havnt they got ceramic plates in them or something? all the mx scilencers ive done have been a simple repack job but this one is welded shut. ive read the tech advice on here and it recomends burning the oi…

Hello, my clutch slave cylinder has gone I've got a repair kit. I can't get the exhaust front pipe off for easy access due to bolts being rounded off , how easy is it to install repair kit without removing exhaust. Thanks for info.

Hey! I'm getting back into trials after a loooong break with an '01 SY 250. I'm a pretty experienced mechanic and used to maintain one for a friend...over 15 years ago! How about some general tips? Best gearbox oil and quantity? Brake/clutch fluid? DOT 4? 5? Anything to know or watch out for? Any help would be appreciated. I'm already liking the idea of not having to service dogbones. You still out there, Reilly? Mike at Tryals shop tells me spares are still in good supply. What's the best deal in tires (tyres) these days? Thanks!

After lurking for some time I got my first trials bike, a 2006 SY175. Started the basic maintenance and I have some questions you SY guys probably can answer. 1)Where is the oil "filter" and how is it accessed? 2) Where can I obtain several air filter elements? Mine has a hole right along one edge of the rectangular filter plastic frame. 3) Is there a shop manual for the bike? How to get it? Would a TTR125 manual work for the engine? 4) What to do with the nut that holds the back of the fuel tank, it is spinning and lining up the bolt through the fender is not working well? I am considering removing that nut and replacing it with a hex nut and washer. …
