Hi all. Picked up a 2004 sy250 with a bad slave cylinder I think. Took it with a rebuild kit to my neighborhood Yamaha fixer and he’s stumped. So I’ve searched around the globe looking for a new slave cylinder but have been told it’s probably not gonna happen. So now I’m trying to figure out how to convert to a cable. I don’t expect to be in any competition I just want to mess around and learn some of the basics. My other thought is that the actuator and push push rods may be worn a bit as there is a bit of play in the actuator arm and I have nothing to compare to so maybe I’m just a bit confused. If if anyone has changed to cable maybe some ti…

  4. Does anyone have a list of the torque settings for the 2004 era TYS125F? The owner's manual only lists a few. I need the settings for the four bolts that attach the fender stay to the fork stanchions. Any help appreciated.

Anyone been using one of these and got any feedback on them. Always liked small bikes (favourite bike was a rev3 200) and fancy the wee Scorpa but never seen one in the flesh. Something I can use on the road, hill tracks and trial would be ideal for me. It's always described as a beginners bike but would it work for a 55 year old Non Expert? So is the build quality good, any experiences to cause concern with the motor and is it going to pull 13 stone up a steep hill? If not is a 143cc barrel worthwhile or has anyone other suggestions for improving them. I know Nigel Birkett's been working on them but not sure what he's been up to?

I'm looking at a Keihin carbed, Rotax engine Easy for a mate, Ive got it started and running and fixed a number of other problems, it has been stood for the last 10 years but is in remarkably good condition. The bike is rideable at low revs but as soon as you open it up it just will not rev, Ive cleaned out the carbs and changed the plug, compression is okay and getting better the more it is run, its sounds lean, not boggy to me, any ideas ? Ignition timing perhaps??

Hi All, New to the forum. I'm looking at a left over 2017 Scorpa SC300 Factory and would like to know what changed from the 2017 model to the 2018/2019 model. From the looks of it it already has a Rieger shock but I don't think it's a 2-way but not sure. Besides graphics, any other changes? Thanks in advance.

Just recently picked up a scorpa long ride 125. Needs a few things doing to get it up to scratch mainly the fork seals as they are shot. The main thing I want/need help with is to swap over the fork caps which extend the forks 4cm. Could anyone point me in the direction of caps that would fit the 38mm paioli forks. These are not an adjustable model.

Gents tomorrow I pick up a like new 2015 Scorpa 300 twenty! Although I’ve ridden mx bikes for 41 years, I am brand new to the trials scene. From what I’ve read, most guys are adding a flywheel weight to tame power. I’m more than likely going to do that. My real question is suspension setup. I know trials bikes are suppose to be soft, but I’m a big boy (6’2”@250# soaking wet). Any good resources out there for proper spring rates for a out of shape over-weight new trials rider? since I’m completely clueless, pointers of any kind are appreciated. thanks trevor

Hi Guys Not sure if its me or the bike? My braking seems to be on or off, no in-between, no modulation My bike is a 2004 Scorpa SY250, but all bikes of this age seem to use AJP brakes Went to a trial this weekend locking front and back brakes, did not see anybody else lock front! Your help is needed, what should i do? Thanks Whiskey

I cracked my SY175F rear fender a little while ago and want to know if anyone knows of a source for a new one? Mike at the Tryals Shops told me he doesn't know where to get one, I hoped someone here would. Thanks, Dave

  18. My 2004 TYS125F has a single filament headlight bulb (no main beam) that's pretty dim. Does anyone know if there's a plug and play led replacement bulb? If anyone has done anything to make their headlight better, would love to hear it. Cheers.

  19. I just picked up a 2004 TYS125F. The bike is in great nick overall, but the header pipe is pretty rusty from sitting outside. I'd like to replace it with a titanium aftermarket pipe. There are several choices in Japan where I am. One has a bigger diameter overall and a small expansion chamber. The other seems to be a similar diameter to the stock header with a small expansion chamber. Any recommendations on which would have the most suitable power characteristics for this small motor? The use is slow speed cross-training and trail riding. Some road riding as well to connect trails. Cheers.

  20. Wonder if anyone can help. My mate has a 2017 factory 300 and after 5/10 minutes of riding the fan cut in then will cut in and out every couple of minutes and the engine seems a bit fluffy and you seem to get a anti freeze smell. The day after the bikes been ridden if you undo the rad cap the pressure will blow it out of your hand if not careful. He has now changed the head gasket but still seems to be the same. Does anyone have any ideas. Many thanks
