Hi, I'm rebuilding a mates bike that been apart for several months. I'm struggling to remember where each part of the loom bolts/attaches to the frame? In particular I am not 100% sure where the CDI and other parts are mounted? Does anybody have any pics? Or perhaps a few hints to get be going again lol. Cheers Tony

Does anyone know if you can change the insert on these l love my 300 but it is a bit of a handful at times was thinking about going with the low comp version which should hopefully soften it off, already running a slow throttle and flywheel weight

Since i´m looking into getting one of the 125 Scorpas (the older models with the 38mm paioli forks). I´d like to know if the forks are adjustable in compression and rebound damping, aswell as preload. I can´t find anything about those ones. So can anybody help me out? Also are there any ´special´ things about the suspension on these bikes I should know about?

Hello, I have recently bought a Scorpa 2005 SY250. I am pretty much clueless on how to change oil, filters etc but keen to learn how to do everything myself. I was wondering if anyone knows of videos / websites or other on Trials Bike maintenance they could point me in the right direction. Any recommendation welcome. Kind regards, John

Hi guys, Just bought myself an old SY250, and giving it a bit of love. I've determined that the rear brake doesn't work, builds up no pressure at the pedal and no fluid comes out of the bleed valve. I'm planning on pulling the master cylinder and checking it out - how do I remove this thing? Do I have to drop the swingarm or something>?

Hi, I just got myself a 2007 Scorpa SY250F here in sunny California. I purchased it in Arizona and "imported" it to California. If you are not from here, that's a whole process in itself, but that seems to have been taken care of... that is until they change their mind (which is not unheard off, but we'll deal with that when that happens). I am a novice in trials and my goal is really to use the bike to improve my enduro skills (my other bikes are a Husqvarna TE310 and a Yamaha WR450F). Now, weight wise, the years haven't been kind to me and right now I clock at 230Lbs / 104 kg / 16.4 stones. So, the suspensions on the SY have a tendency to hit the stops a…

I'm looking at either a 315r or an Sy250. Montesa prices seem have to gone through the roof so the scorpa is looking tempting but if I'm honest I don't know a lot about either bike. I'm a novice/intermediate rider, mostly ride enduros but like to practice/play on trials. I'm 6'4" and around 85kg. I've had a rev3, txt250 and a sherco 250 in the past but big gaps between each bike so hard to compare. Haven't ridden trials for a while but want to have another go, any recommendations?? Parts availability is something worth considering, I'm looking at between 00 and 05 bikes because limited budget. Thanks

Hi, 03 SY250 Trying to remove the water pump impeller in order to remove the RHS engine case to inspect the clutch. Does the impeller pull off with the Case? I do not want to simply pull the impellor out if it's fixed behind the case etc and potentially break something . I can only assume that the impeller & shaft assemble can be pulled out with some pliers or the impeller is attached to the shafts with a LH thread? Either way do I pull the impellor off with the Case or am I missing something? The impeller appears to be the only thing holding case on now that I have removed the bolts, kick-start & water pump case. Cheers Tony

Guys just thought I'd let you know about a parts supplier I've found, he's a fellow enthusiast who's breaking a few bikes, I guess he's got sick of the ridiculous prices for new bits, I've bought tons off him and everything has been really reasonably priced, my scorpa is in great condition now, where as it was a bit botched when I bought it, anyway you can find him on eBay his name is keepingscorpasalive or tony 07575876543, drop him a text

Hi, guys picked up a sy250 scorpa (yz engine version) it's my first trials bike, the bike is really loud, I mean makes my mx bikes sound quiet, So took the exhaust off and you can see straight through the silencer and mid box, is this normal? Or has someone cut out the internal baffles ? I sort of expected to see perforated pipe blocking the central tube. Also, silencer needs repacking, I've learnt that it needs to be cut open and welded, has anyone on here tackled this before any tips? Best tool to attack it with? I'm assuming I cut along the welded points. Anyway your help and advise will be appreciated,

It's an old bike so I don't expect to find anything, but I was wondering if anybody knows of a pipe guard that will work on a 2005 SY250? Riding yesterday I melted my riding pant leg to the front exhaust lol.I was thinking a guard might be helpful. Thanks.

Hi, I took my 04 Sy250 out for a ride a few days ago and something happened to the engine that wasn't good! the engine was still running but wouldn't rev at all and started getting very hot. I could hear a bit of a knocking sound from the crank area...not good! I let it cool and just out of curiosity started it and it seemed to run fine, i only ran it for a second and turned it off. I decided to try and pop the cylinder off and see whats going on but having troubles removing it. It almost looks like the whole engine has to be dropped from the frame to remove the cylinder? Could anyone advise on what the problem could be & how to remove cylinder for inspection? …
