Saw a pair of rock shox for the first time at a trial today and they look just what i need for the James. Asked the guy whose bike they were on where he bought them "from the bloke who makes em". Hmmmm not much help. I seem to remember reading somewhere that Pete Edmundsen is doing them but cant find a number anywhere. Can anybody help with a number or website?

Hi all, this is my fantic that i built specificly to compete at a harder level than just the clubman route, although i did ride it in a few twinshock / pre65 trials this year, you will do well to spot all the mods, and it is 100% fantic, i now ride a TYZ as my main bike so this one is redundant :-( I would be interested in any oppinions Alan http://img87.imageshack.us/my.php?image=24102006171yg2.jpg http://img133.imageshack.us/my.php?image=24102006172mr1.jpg http://img83.imageshack.us/my.php?image=24102006173mi4.jpg http://img133.imageshack.us/my.php?image=24102006174qc0.jpg

I am trying to rebuild a pair of betor dampers which I think came from a late Bultaco 340. Does anyone know the amount of oil and viscosity, and if there is any chance of getting new seals?

Hi maybe some out there can help. I am rebuilding a Cota 350, which has basically the same engine as a 349. I had the crank rebuilt and the rod used is not a Montesa original rod but a Metrkit rod which is aprox 1 mm thicker in the rod width, the base and top being the same as the Montesa rod. I recentered the crank using some of the different guaged spacers, and got everything lined up with an even distanve between crank halfs and the rod centered in the middle of the crank cases. Everything seemed ok until I put the piston and cylinder on and there is a noise as I turn the engine over. From what I can see, the connecting rod is shifted to one side as the engine turns a…

Fancy doing something a bit different, I've seen a pic of a fourstroke engine in what looked like a TY twinshock frame, lovely looking machine. I understand you can buy Chinese engines (Honda copys) off John Bliss for right money, I've heard one of these engines running and it did sound very sweet. Has anybody put a fourstroke engine in a yam frame?? any major problems? Cheers Mark P.S don't want a TLR, just fancy something different

I have recently got hold of a 159 which has been stored for a few months but was definitely a runner (and I can trust the guy I got it from). If I crank it over with the plug on the head I can't get a spark. I can't see anything obvious, the points check out with a multi meter and have tried a spare ignition coil which made no difference and have also tried more than 1 plug. For the wiring into the 'chocolate block' is it correct that the red cable from the flywheel magneto goes to the black lead in the ignition coil? Any advice gratefully received.
