I see from today's results that the FIM have enforced the minimum weight limit rule. So, did they catch some big budget factory team gaining an unfair advantage over less well funded riders? No, they disqualified a female riding an importer supplied production bike. Well done FIM!

Just had a email from my federation of the new trial rules 2013 assessment. Take a look it must be on the FIM website. Rose coloured specs. The assessment was done by someone with one eye that is full of non stop. The way I read it all is the problems they have had is caused by section setters, riders, or observers. Well that's true, that's all you can blame theres no one else. A couple of things that made me smile Riders need technical and strategic adaption Observers to adapt their way of seeing in order to judge not moving forwards in the same way as they had been used to judging moving backwards for many years. You would at least think the FIM assessment be more …

Any forum members going to this event? I'm looking forward to it. It's a shame though that it's on the same date as the 4 day trial De la Creuse in Sardent http://www.belgiumworldtrial.be/default.aspx Pré sale tickets: http://www.zonetrial.com/Articles.aspx?MarkSelected=A+BelgiumWorldTrial&topic=0

just to remind us "In view of the current extremely difficult situation regarding participation in Trial events that is also leading to the free fall of the Trial motorcycle market, the FIM together with the Trial Manufacturers (Montesa-Honda, Gas Gas, Beta, Sherco & Ossa) has decided to take measures in order to find ways to revitalise this discipline. The first change concerns the sporting regulations of the FIM Trial World Championships that, from 2013, will be “non-stop”. All categories of the discipline (World Pro, Open International, Junior, 125cc, Women & Trial des Nations) will now apply more dynamic regulations. With the aim of making Trial more acce…

Well so it's official. And congrats Eddie on the place (not confirmed as late as 3 weeks ago asking him at our season final (he won on a 348 Cota `78 with old tyres) (pics on http://motorfoto.nu/)).Sad though for Dibsta, Busto and Casales not to get the chance however Busto, Casales and Kadlec will prolly get their chance in the coming years and prolly some wild cards 2016. Smart way though to limit the Spanish dominance... outside top 5 must be new nationality... /TJ 2016 FIM X-Trial World Championship Selection criteria and fixed riders for the whole season 2015 FIM X-Trial World Champion: Toni BOU 2 nd 2015 FIM X-Trial World Championship: Adam RAGA 3 rd 2015 F…

Hello all, I've signed up for fim-tv.com and am really enjoying the videos, the coverage is really good, 52 minutes of commercial free coverage for the latest indoor event in Marseille. And, apparently you can watch the events live, too, but NOWHERE on the site can I find a time for this, or a schedule. If anyone has this info, could you post a link or maybe a news item with not only the dates, but the times, of the remaining broadcasts? Thanks!

Reading about the first round of the Spanish openfree http://66.196.80.202/babelfish/translate_u...rcototal.htm%3f The video makes the sections look a bit easy, don't know if they were or not but the results look about right for the top riders. Is it the answer to getting more rider participation at top level ? Will more countries follow suit ?

For those who are planning to visit the US for the Arizona world round or anywhere else for that matter I thought I would toss together a post about what a traveler should expect. Most of my interactions and travels have been between US and Europe but this should apply globally. I don't know all or any of the visa laws from your country so that part you will need to research independently. First impressions when getting to the US: When I travel to Europe i am surprised usually that I am hardly ever asked a question at a pass port inspection. Here in the US even as a US citizen traveling from Canada, Mexico, Europe ect... I am asked at least 20 questions about w…

Not enough incentive for young riders to consider contesting world rounds?. No factory rider contracts. No factory teams. No works bikes. Factories reach an agreement with FIM on fixed flat rate price a world round point is worth. The championship is a true production model championship with personal tuneing permitted. Flat rate fee is given for every world round point earned, the best will earn the most as now, but the incentive to ride for $$ is there for the lower ranked rider. And burn all bibs other than the riders bib The factories were complaining it's too expensive to ship the circus all round the world, all they would have to ship is the factory rep wit…
