I maintain my Sons Repsol 4rt & since moving up to National and road trials we are getting through wheel bearings at a Great rate, have used branded & cheap and had a dealer fit a set when changing a tyre makes no difference I even remove the dust covers and re-grease them. Obviously it is worse on the rear wheel. How long do everyone else's last please.

Years ago we all rode the same route. Then as bikes advanced, the better riders could do things on their machines that the lesser riders had no chance of doing and two routes became the norm. Although we would all prefer to keep things simple, it is becoming more and more common for clubs to now offer three routes. This begs the question; how do we mark out three routes? I use bLue/Red, yeLlow/gReen (Cap letters for L or R) and pairs of whites for the easy route. I have also experimented with cououred arrows, (As used by the Mid Centre Youth championship) but this uses a hell of a lot of staples/wires and takes a lot more time. I know these idea's aren't perfect, so wh…

hi all just wondering if other centres struggle with getting observers like down here in the south-west and have clubs got any incentives to get people to observe eg: free entries for riders who supply an observer, free meal vouchers etc etc.

Can anybody help with information and photo's on the bike that Armstrong developed in the mid-80's, as riden by John Lampkin ? It had an Alloy frame and was a Mono-shock with a 240/280 Rotax engine, i know that around 65 were made and badged as Armstrong and Can-Am's in 1986, and a further 10 more were made as 240cc CCM's in 1988. Thanks in advance. Gaff.

I am thinking of getting the wheels on my 04 Sherco 290 anodised black. I have seen Gassers and Beta's with this done, and it looks the dogs, but I think this is helped is these bikes have red in them, and the contrast of colour looks great. Has anyone got any pics of a Sherco with black rims?

I see some posts on what lads have done for sections in their back yard. These are pictures of sections I have built over the past 12 years, in my back yard. This creek is all concrete mixed a bag at a time and stones set in, the water is from the land drains but only runs when it's wet.

Hi, I have come from a Downhill and Various other Mountain bike background. I am of small build and always ran a small bar width. The only downside I heard of on push bikes is less stable at high speeds. Is there any reason why I shouldn't cut my bar width down? Is this common on motorbikes? Thanks, Jim

Hi all, I went to my first trial on Sunday at a quarry, I've only had my bike for around a month. Got my numbers then went to look at the sections, they were too difficult and intimidating to attempt. One of the riders told me not to attempt the course and to try the conducted route instead. Initially I wanted to give the adult route a go, so lined up with the other riders. They were practicing riding up and down a stony bank, so I thought to myself 'that looks easy, lets give it a go', this ended in charging up the bank, launching into a wheelie at the top and thoroughly embarrassing myself by forgetting the rear brake and ending up on the floor. I then heeded the adv…

After washing your bike what do you spray it with to repel water and make it look gleaming. I used to always use WD40 but was told its bad for the bikes so use a silicone spray but the stuff we use is expensive . Any top tips ? .

I wonder which work's bike was/is the most radical/specialised/worked upon ever built. Could it be the HRC Honda ridden by Eddie Lejuene, Dougie's 315R or 4RT, the 4RT of Antonio Bou, maybe Jordi Tarres Gas Gas or the one ridden by Adam Raga. There must be loads more bikes that I have not even thought about, does anyone have an answer and do you know what went into the making of that bike?
