  1. Started by city trials,

This topic is about riders under sixteen years old.

I’m just trying to get an understanding on the different competitions and what is related to what. As a relative noob I’m assuming most completions are run by the FIM? So there’s European, National and International championships, 125cc championships, then there’s Trial 2 - I’m struggling to get my head around what leads into what or if they are all different ‘leagues’ or competitions in their own right? Then there’s various names trials, Wallace etc, are these one off events rather than multi event championships? Could someone point out the structure so understand how it all fits together better please?

Hi All, Just recently purchased my first bike and joined ESTC. I've ridden there a couple of times to practise and I'm looking to enter my first club trials comp soon. Not sure if I should enter as a beginner or novice or even what route i.e white route or easy route... I'm not new to bikes but I am to trials riding. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi , which trials school is a good one and not too far to go? Not Yorkshire for example as we live on the south coast but would travel up to Gloucester if the school around there is good or is there some where else local to us? This a xmas present idea for my son (25) an adult 'begginer' who I think is finding the sections a little bit too easy now.

i have recently found a quarry just 1 mile from my house and have made my missus a trials widow( once or twice i thought i actually came a little too close to making her an actual widow but i never told her) i have just put a 52 tooth sprocket on the back and wow what a different machine. Now for the "oh no" bit. I was climbing up one of the scree slopes when i thought my chain had come off and we had a wee slide down the bank. At the bottom i realised that the chain had come off - because i had snapped my swing arm. My question to the group is where the hell am i going to get a new swing arm for a ty175? And can you weld swing arms to any effect? i`ve got to get it …

I’m dreaming of a new ride. Beta Evo factory 125 or 200 or Vertigo 200. Obvious differences in costs, equipment and bling levels. I’m just wondering which one comes from the manufacturer best prepared? I’m happy to strip a new bike to grease things properly but does either manufacturer add enough grease during assembly to make this not needed? I just want to ride it!!!

how come theres been a pre 65 class for so long yet no classes for 76/82 machines etc , im refering to these years as IMHO these years were the years that trials bikes evolved taking gaint leaps in design/function etc! , i know theres a twinshock class/route! but these seem to be few and far between? isn't it time the ACU etc brought in the above cut off years (or similiar) there must be hundreds of twinshock/spanish bikes out there being done up ready to go!!! some local trial's ive competed in do a modern, pre 65 and novice easy route! but it seem's twinshock bike's sit in no mans land, ive posted this after reading nearly the same comment in trail bike magazine! y…

Big big thanks to all the officials and riders at the Wickham Harvest Trial who helped Dominic Feaks at section 6. Dom travelled down to ride with his Freestyle team mates, and was enjoying the trial when he had the unlucky accident. We have the whole episode on video, as Mum was filming for his PE GCSE!! Luckily, an A&E Nurse was on hand to help, & speak to the Paramedics on route. The Polaris six wheel drive vehicle got Dom up to the ambulance, which took him to the Kent & Sussex Hospital ( which closes Wednesday! ) X Rays & CT scan revealed a badly broken ankle, in 2 planes. He had a 1 1/2 hr op at midnight to re- align the bones & have 4 screws i…
