Hi all, I live in Hertfordshire, near Stevenage. I went to watch a trial with Kingsbury and Kenton MCC the other day at Matthews Brickyard near Berkhamsted, and I've been to Nash Mills before with Berkhamsted MC. Just wondering what other trials and clubs there are in the area, I pick up TMX occasionally and will do so more often once I've bought my bike, but thought I'd ask here too! Cheers! Andy

I’m looking for a trial this weekend but I’m having difficulty in finding any In fact I’m struggling finding any trials, other than the ones advertised on this site?

Hi all ive just joined the forum as looking to get back into trials riding. I was a complete novice when I gave it up a few years back after having the wee lass so not looking to compete just looking to get back into it and enjoy doing it. Is there any clubs or meets in the Perthshire area that anyone no's of? Any info appreciated. Thanks

Hi. Ive just finally managed to get a registration number for my 97 scorpa 250. Crikey they make it hard work dont they. Here is my tale of woe!!! First I call birketts to ask for advice, he tells me trials bikes are exempt from Type Approval and SVA inspection. Then i ring the dvla to find out whats involved in getting a reg number. "Whats a trials bike" they say, so i have to explain it to them. It took almost an hour to make the guy on the phone understand what i was doing. He tells me that i need to get insurance, then an mot, then fill in a form (V55/5) and take the whole lot to the local DVLA office in preston and get the tax disk. Thats when i will be issued …

Hi, i recently went and watched the scott trial...... unbelievable. Being relatively new to trials i was just wondering if there were any other events that are similar to the scott, ie alot of riding between section off road ect ect. cheers

Had my arm twisted to take my lad to the Euro Round Is there any camping on-site at Hawkstone for non-competitors ? Or any good campsites nearby with availability.

When does Scottish fever officially start, is it with the first version of the entry list?. It was well under way this time last year!.

OK - Just to humour me - and get away from ACU matters etc I pose the following question to you all in this season of merriment and good will. For the average - Clubman rider - of limited ability - which s/hand trials machine - circa 2000 - 2005 woukld you say is the easiest to ride in a muddy, cambered type sections? Let us presume it is fitted with a Michelin - and is a 250/280 and in good order. I refer to sections with slippery short climbs ( not balls out climbs) - where grip is always at a premium and skill is at a minimum. Which 2 stroke machine would you choose? - all otherb criteria not important.

i have just had a look at whats on in the next week or so and in one of the advertisements it gives you the different routs that will be available on the day and one of them is over whatever, does that mean you can have a go at any of the circuits but the points don't count or is it something different.

Was channel hopping the other night and came across Traffic Cops on Watch. Who was the clown that tried to outrun South Yorks Police on a Trials bike? Lost the traffic car by going off-road, but their helicopter tracked him right to his house. 20 year old, wearing what looked like a blue Clice jacket and they said the bike wasn't stolen.

So here I am contemplating another bike. 2 years back I had my workshop broken into and my bikes stolen. My main ride was a KTM SXF 350 and I had a li'l Beta Rev3 250 2007 for messing about on. I incidentally got the Beta back after it had been dumped (it was a bit rough to be fair) however after retrieval I left it in my van over night to have it nicked again and that was 3 weeks later after the 1st theft hmmmm something fishy going on there me thinks. Anyhoo Vowed I wouldn't ride or buy a bike again!! Well my 'vow' isn't holding water, 2 years on and I'm feeling like ive lost a limb and am starting to look at trials bikes. My experience with trials is very limited …

as the title suggests, looking for info on the mull 2 day trial if there is one this year. thought lmcc organised it but cant see anything about it on their site. i have done most of the scottish 2 day trials bar this one and thinking about a trip up with a few lads who are relative beginners/ not vastly experienced so from what i hear ths should be about bang on with it being a one route clubman do. any info appreicated cheers

Hi, Just recovering LOL from entering the Essex n Suffolk's Trial on Sunday @ Raydon, I'm very new to all this, I found the trial quite a challenge - a good thing, I'm not moaning its only my 3rd attempt. I attempted every section and received 165 out 210 points (I came last LOL) But I'm surprised so many of the "Novices" look like experts to me....... Is the Novice really the clubman and should I be looking for Beginners / Wobbler's trials.. Just like to hear peoples thoughts on difficulty factor, a couple of the guys there said different clubs run at different leaves of difficulty. I'm off to practice jumping over logs without bailing out LOL NLL

I have just seen the results of the North Lancs Angela Redford Trial, a round of the Normandale Traditional Trials Championship. Looking at the results this would appear to have been a excellent trial with around 160 entries. There were classes for just about every type of machine and category of rider, so why "Guest Riders"? Guest riders are for when you are trying to boost a small entry. The real problem is that this is typical of Trials today, everybody thinks they can ride in everything, sorry lads if you didn't fit any of the classes available in this event then take the hint and find one that did

Thinking of buying a small van in the future, just big enough for 1 bike and riding gear. I am 99% sure that you can get a bike in the following vans but wondered if anyone had used one and how easy they are to strap down. Peugeot partner/Ciroen Berlingo, Renault Kangoo, Vw Caddy. Cheers Doogle

I kind of embarassed to ask this question, but I've made a fool of myself so many times on this forum that I suppose once more won't make much difference. I'm sure what I'm about to ask is covered in great detail in the ACU handbook but I don't recall receiving a copy with this year's membership renewal and I can't find a downloadable copy on the ACU web site (and a bit of Google-fu hasn't turned anything up), so here goes: ACU trials rules: Non-stop or not? Now just hang on a sec: You could quite legitmately say that someone's who's been taking part (note that I didn't say "competing"!) in trials for over a year since returning to the sport should really know the answer…

Would there be an interest in police checking bikes at a trial in an effort to recover stolen property, remember innocent purchasers could not only loose the bike but also the money paid for it. second problem is if the bike has never been recorded road-reg then it becomes harder to confirm identification. What are peoples thoughts, on this subject.

this would def be a great place in the summer but yesterday was ice, mud and more mud... section six in particular was impossible for sidecars! good day though!
