I've been looking on the YMSA website for any news regarding this coming Sunday's event at Dudwood Farm but it doesn't appear to have been updated recently. Does anybody know if the trial is still on cos the snow in this neck of the woods is still quite deep and it is very icy?????

My 7 yr old son is new to trials and we got him a Beta 50 to start with. Problem we are having is he is a pretty aggressive rider for his age/size and keeps spinning the rear wheel and causing his tube valve to leak/break. Any advise on how to fix this? I am wondering if their is another type of tire to use or a trick to help? I know he will need to move up someday but I'm thinking to move up to an 80 would be too big a step at this point....? Any thoughts ideas? Or am I going to be buying stock in tubes?

Howdy I am looking at getting a 2nd hand bike for my 9 year old son. He has grown up around bikes, and has had a 50cc trail bike, which we will now sell. He is very keen on getting into trials riding, as we have a great scene here in Spain. I was going to get him an 80cc Gas Gas, but they seem pretty hard to find 2nd-hand. It was suggested today, by a local trials guy, that we get him a 125cc bike so he can grow into it. I would love some feedback from you all. Thanks.

On the 7th of June this year RMC will once again run the Mintex Trophy Trial in it's original format, Time & Observation for Schoolpersons. Open to A Class, B Class & ACU approved C Class riders the event will be run on a two lap format. The planned course will form a lap of approximately 15 miles & will provide a true Scott style test. Entry Details & Regulations are available to download from the RMC website.

So looks like the number of rounds for the C & D Championship is a bit much. After the ACU said they would try and make things "easier" for parents they come up with 8 rounds in 7 months!!!! That might sound OK but 3 of those are in September!! Even worse for any competitor south of Watford 6 of them are in the North. The A&B at least has the Rounds spread around datewise even though most are northern based. This is the Problem. The EXPENSE of these rounds. The Petrol, Diesel, Parts and Accommodation incurred means many potential Entrants are already put off. It cost me over £300 a round 4 years ago. That was averaging it out between the Close and Distant round…

I have a 2002 Sherco 50 and the fuel tank is leaking. I tried patching it with epoxy, fiberglass, fuel tank repair, and even plastic weld it and the best I could get was about 3 months use then it starts leaking again, I tried to buy a new gas tank here in the United States but no one has one, So I'm giving a shout to you folks in Europe to see if you can help, PLEASE Does anyone know where I can buy a fuel tank for a 2002 sherco50?

just like to say bloody well done to jack, with a full page spread in todays tmx finaly giving him the regognition he deserves (and stating he's from ipswich finaly rather than norwich) you wont meet a nicer lad or more talented and dedicated one than jack, (how many other youth brit champs had a section to observe at the scott this year!) so well done again mate and good luck in the "A"s next year from all in the eastern centre.

Due to the lack of intrest in last weeks indoor youth trial, it will not be held next year. I spent weeks organising this event for the stars of the future, and anyone who was there would appreciate that. After the trial it takes about 4 day to remove everything from Brickfields. Yes it made

I think it,s a great shame that the Mintex time trial and the stDavids BTC trials clash as several of the top youth riders would like to take part in both events. I also understand that the Y.M.S.A. have a round of their championship planned for the same day, which will affect entries at both events. There are several dates in June with nothing much on, just a shame for everyone that the Mintex could,nt move to the 27th then all the top youth riders would be there.

Have any TY80 dads out there fitted an "easy clutch" or clutch lightener? It seems there are 2 ways of doing it - is one of them better than the other? http://yambits.co.uk/ty80-easy-clutch-p-32444.html http://www.tytrials.co.uk/trailandtrialsuk/prod_47644-Clutch-Lightening-Lever-Forged.html Many thanks

Rumours about a A class rider changing make this weekend. Richard Sadler is Entered along with the "usual" suspects and Joanne Coles will be riding fresh from Her Ladies world podium. A class is down to 16 riders but a healthier turnout in the B class.

Gents I have a question. I am pretty new and looking at the offerings in 80cc for my boys it is hard to figure out the subtleties between the manufacturers 80cc bikes. If I understand correctly the Sherco 80cc is a full size frame with a little engine? The Beta 80 has a smaller frame and is available in big wheel version and small? I wish we had more interest in Canada so I could just go to a couple dealerships and check them out, but it is hard to find them here at all. thanks

Hi, As the title says really who's done it and what sort of issues did you come up against in the process ? Basically I have been in two minds to go down the petrol or electric route as a starter for my 8yr old, really not many decent petrol ones around (been searching for couple of months) unless you start spending £1k + and then you still dont know what sort of a life they have had ! Then of course after watching a few recent trials all the kids seem to be on these Oset bikes and looks like this is the way forward but after being brought up on petrol bikes I suppose that's why I wanted to smell the 2stroke bliss again but that coupled with the obvious noise differenc…
