Well after much deliberation I've taken the plunge and bought a 2008 KTM 450 EXC-R & free KTM toaster, for some dune bashing in Dubai. Anyone any tips for running one in and what to look out for.

I read with interest reports that organisers are considering runnning the 2009 Dakar Rally in South America. Should it still be the 'Dakar' as it would be in an entirely different continent?

Having just ridden the ian pollock memorial trial today, whilst coming along the black water path i was thinking to myself this would make a great part of an extrerme enduro. if you start at kinlochleven take them up pipeline, then up the track to blackwater with a few technical diversions, a bit of moore work back on the track for a bit of high speed stuff with a few more diversions and finish them in fort bill, it would be awesome. Why cant we have our hells gate or erzberg???? we have the tough one but how about one single lap mayhem, we have the land lets use it!!! (apart from it being apart of the west highland way but the isle of man close their roads for the tt)…

Got my eye on a 410 and the money is most right. Pretty nice piece. Runs good and isn't beat up. One small dent in the rear fender. Paint is pretty good. Really considering buying it, but wondering about where to find parts if I need them. Any help would be Great.

The on board footage of GJ is well worth a watch. It's an education in itself the course was just so hard.you will be sweating watching it. Emporer Hirohito was kinder to his Kamikazi pilots than the CoC was to those riders. Even ice cool Jarvis had a moment or 2 it must have taken all his patience not to launch into the Husky into the great blue yonder Awsome riding

So the reports are saying the ''Rozzers'' stopped and fined the Championship riders £60-00 for not displaying the correct size number plate? Easy target for them I suppose, but another gig at the off road motorcyclist? Only too glad the Lochaber police at the SSDT are a bit more welcoming? http://www.enduronews.com/

I've been super busy, stacked up with work, sorting the house, taking care of a new puppy. So the old trials bikes are on the back burner for this winter ... instead I've been getting out on my other half's Rieju Tango. It's fab, basically it feels like riding my old DT100 back in the day, just with fuel injection, electric start, etc. They're just basic farm bikes, but agile enough for the tricky trails (though I need to add a skid plate, hand guards, and more aggressive tyres). What I like about it is that there's no faffing around with mixing the fuel, or messing about with the idle because of the weather, etc, just hop on and go. I might get one for…

Looking for info on this bike - could not find much on-line (just basic specs). I'm keen to know if the engine is a Cagiva design/manufacture or if it was supplied by Honda (or another manufacturer) and if so what is the engine also used in (eg XR500)? Any common problems for this bike? Where could I get spares from? All info greatly appreciated. Cheers
