Ideally I'm after an oil in the frame version. Also interested in any complete bike ot projects that are for sale. Thanks in advance.......

I am looking for advise on the best way to go about fitting tubeless rims to a Ossa 250 Mar and a TR-80 Gripper. Anyone out there that has done this, which rim did you use? The Mar has parallel hub and the Gripper doesn't, both 36 spoke. I read a post were the poster had trouble fitting a new MORAD and had to fit a used one. Any help appreciated. Alistair

Hi, I'm new to this forum and new to trials in general. I am looking at getting into the sport. However, there is one big problem: I live in China. A country which is definitely not known for its Trials motorcycles. Importing japanese bikes is out of the question and classic trials can't be found anywhere. The option I've been looking at is to buy a vintage scrambler motorcycle that are common here. Usually custom made. One example: Most of the bikes include a choice of either 125/150/200/ 250cc engine, with a vast selection of gearing options available. Trials tyres are available for all rim sizes and the bikes can be modified in many different …

Hi All ; I just got back from the North American Twinshock Championships and I have to say that besides having a great time and not crashing , that I got to ride a work of art !!!! a 1960 royal enfeild bullet ... although trimmed down to well under 300 lbs , and a work of art in everyway , WHAT A MONSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you could plow feilds with this beast ! But I must admit it is the most comfortable trials bike I have ever riden , the stance can only be summed up as perfect !!! Here is the one photo I took of it , but the build process can be seen at www.twinshock.org on the photo page under "reshaping a bullet " More torque than most tractors !!! Glenn

Hi, I just joined up. I have restored two Suzuki TC120'S. A 69 one and a 71 one. I was quite fasinated to read the information about the Peter Gaunt ones and others. Having played about in the rough and in woods on the normal TC I was well impressed, I would love to play about on a trials version. Even sat down on the little TC it pulls well in low ratio and climbs well. I would like to build one and have a chat and pick the brains of someone who has one or knows about them. I have kind of read all I can find on the net. Specifically, do you need the T200 triple tree as well as the forks?, or is it the b120 tree. Also I believe there are alternatives. I tried…

Hello, I am a 59 year old that has ridden motorcycles for years. I had a 1986 Honda TLR200 Reflex and a 1997 Gas Gas Contact 200. I would like to get into riding very easy trials type riding in the woods around my house, not competing. Used trials bikes in my area of Northern Indiana are hard to find and I would like to start tinkering around in the woods asap as this COVID-19 stay at home order is driving me nuts. There are two within 90 minutes of my home. One is a 1975 Yamaha TY175 ($1,400) and the other is a 1974 Suzuki RL250 ($1,000). Both seem to be in the same shape. My question is which one do you think would be the better bike for me?…

Is there any place in the Western US where vintage trials are laid out as they were 40 years ago so the motorcycle is moving pretty much all of the time? More a momentum thing than a point and shoot type exercise. Out of more general interest, are trials done that way anywhere in the world today?

We finally got confirmation that myself and my 3 fellow Taverners members are in this years do. So if you are going down expect to see a Panther being thrown around and at the scenery by me. As long as I can stop it spitting split links out of the rear chain that is. I have moved the gearbox over a bit and bent anything I can see that might be rubbing on it out of the way. Fingers crossed I will find out this weekend that its sorted.

Having ridden in many Miller rounds over the last few years on a trail bike, I find these events to be excellent value for money. I enjoy single lap trials on the road and being on a trail bike the distance is not an issue. But what is the ideal length for a classic trial on the road if you are riding a classic bike? Our club has a Miller round every year and it would be easy for us to use groups around a 60 mile course, equally we could do it over say 10 or 15 mile course if we had to.

I was lucky to purchase 2 Dalesmans at the weekend with a load of spares to go with them. First thing is; Along with the spares was a folder which has a Puch engine manual in it with full parts list and numbers, exploded diagrams and some other litarature. Second thing; one of the petrol tanks is the fibreglass tank/seat unit. How do you think this will cope with todays petrol? Trevor

Today the new rules for 2013 have been published in the RFME web page. A small "revolution". Handicaps, and more strict ruels for the classic trials, although modified bikes are admitted, they will have the highest handicap of 1,3. New rules as the sliders must have the original stands for the mudguards, modern stands will take the bike to a handicap of 1,3; and much much more. Have a look here: https://fedemoto.info/ImgFCK/file/2013/TRIAL%20CLASICAS/Reglamento/Reglamento%20RFMETRClasicas2013(1).pdf
