Hi, Looking for suggestions as to what maintenance items I should be doing on my Rev3 over the winter. So far my list includes, repacking muffler, lube all bearings, bleed clutch and brake fluid, tighten spokes, drain gas, replace oil, and clean air filter. Some of these items are repeated regularly over the course of the season but I am sure I am forgetting something. Thanks, Greg

04 200 beta the bike doesn't appear to have lots of use, i'm guessing i'm the first one to open up some of this stuff since hte bike came from the factory checking the various bearings ... Unlike my dirtbike I noticed that these bikes don't have a seal over the wheel bearings. do you guys peel off the bearing seal and pack them with some fresh grease or just leave them alone till they crap out. Even though I use a dentist pick, I seem to have 50/50 results at getting the seal off without screwing it up. My front bearings seem fine so at this point I'm of a mind to leave them be. which leads to the rear bearings.... while on the bike the rear wheel seemed fine, no …

For reasons lost in the mists of time, my Rev3 was supplied minus a front light but with all of the wiring still in place. I'd like to eliminate all of that superfluous gubbins if possible. Only one amongst that big bundle of wires seems to be used and is currently connected to the earth point of on the upper yoke (along with the earth lead from the kill switch). If disconnect this wire and I stuff the lighting wiring down behind the headstock with the rest of the electrical stuff, where should this wire be grounded? I can't see any obvious earth points in that dark hole (although they're obviously there). Is is required at all. I'm not very electrically-minded (can you …

97 TECHNO. i need some help with this as im not sure if this is correct :- FAULT - bike runs fine, as soon as the fan comes on the engine starts back fireing and loss of power. (also fan only comes on when engine is reving , not when idling). i have traced the wiring upto the regulator ( on mine its actually a rectifier with a 1000uf capacitor wired up as follows +ve - green/blue wire ----| AC - yellow | AC green 1000uf cap -ve - black wire ----| the green/blue goes to the fan the black goes to the fan the yellow goes to the stator this is where it makes no sense to me at the GREEN goes to the thermost…

Hey guys. I have a 1989 Beta and all of the gears work fine and the clutch works well when starting off and between gears. However, when I pull the clutch lever, the bike still stays in gear. This happens with all of the gears. I have adjusted the cable tension but had no luck; extreme tension on the clutch cable won't even loosen the rear wheel to make it spin; it's still partially engaged (although not as bad as when the cable has less tension). There is not a dramatic difference at all when I adjust the clutch cable. There is a big difference on the lever itself (can be very loose or very firm) but no major changes in the rear wheel, it still seems locked into ge…

Hi. My evo 2009, after not using for a few weeks, has developed a bit of an issue. It started with me noticing that the revs would not drop when it had been revved hard. This was after I raised the tick over a little as it was a bit cold and wanted it to idle to warm up while I gotsome kit ready. Now im in a situation where to get it to tick over, the revs hang on revving. If I drop the idle adjustment down, the revs will drop fine, but it won't idle. any ideas

Rev3 05 270. Went out on it, after 5 minutes the clutch sounded like it was slipping all over the place, then shuddered to a halt, and the kick start wouldn't crank. Any ideas folks ?

Following on from this thread I recently cleaned my header and mid pipes out using caustic soda and after emptying and allowing eveything to drain and dry out, yesterday I put it all back together (I repacked the silencer for good measure). The bike started fine, ran for a few seconds before the revs suddenly rose then it died. It then won't restart unless I leave it for a while when it starts first kick before doing the same thing. Kick, brrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, stop. Any ideas?

Beta 2018 250 factory. My son fell off it was revving madly but he had landed on kill switch so couldn't cut off straight away. We let bike cool kickstart was free so not seized. I removed kill switch at connector ant there appears to be a spark. It does eventually start on choke and run normal but wont keep running. I was wondering if carb is blocked with all the vibrations of high revs or he may have knocked something electric wise. I haven't checked woodruff key as only have a puller for rev3 not evo. Any help appreciated

I'm pleased. It's nice to see something take off like that. I did a google search to see if it showed up anywhere else and I found it linked on dealer websites and other forums around the world. Neat.

I went out on my bike yesterday, but before I did ,I checked the electrics out ,cleaned all the terminals up and took the flywheel off and gave it a liberal spray of WD. After 20 minutes of riding and being about a mile from my car, the bike cut out and wouldnt restart.I changed the plug but still it wouldnt start so I checked the spark.......no spark.Thoughts of what the hell have I done and why did I mess about with it if it wasnt broken were running through my mind. I couldnt find the fault until I decided to check if I`d done anything behind the flywheel, when I took the cover off ,I could tell straight away...snapped woodruff key.The flywheel was just spinning and t…
