Last year I tried the VHST 26mm for my 250 -04 and found it to be a real improvement over the stock Mikuni. I started this year with a new 270 -06 and have covered about 2 mounths of riding with the stock Mikuni and found that the new bike was difficult to handle. Riding with slipping clutch in 2nd gear was difficult and the general feeling of the bike was that it felt nervous. Now, I have replaced the Mikuni with the VHST and covered about 10 hours of riding....and what a difference. 2nd gear riding with slipping clutch isn

If money was not going to be a issue what would you buy to bling up a beta.. Factory parts for the engine .. Trick bits to add a little style... Flat slide carb for more power.. Better supension ... Sticker kit to look a bit different..... Add some links of the parts you might or do use so we can all have look and any photos of bikes already done to the max.....

I will be getting a 08 270 pretty soonish. Just wondered if anyone knew of any tuning parts to give it a bit more grunt. Also any nice sparkly anodized bits would be appreciated as everyone likes a bit of bling. I have looked on the beta website and seen those bits but not sure how to get my hands on them, do british dealers stock them? Any info would be appreciated.

I am pulling apart a 2006 Rev 3 270 to replace the kick starter mechanism. I was worried about the casing water pump corrosion. Well worry no more, it is eaten up pretty badly, so I ordered a new one. I was curious if someone mixed anti-freeze types as there is also a white gel that was hardened around the water pump impeller clip. Anyway, thought I would share the pics of what I found. Here is the inside of the water pump cover, the coolant had apparently been drained a while back, the bike had sat since 2009 or so and it was given to me, so I can't really complain at the price. The casing is pretty nasty as well The water jacket looks ok, not m…

Is it just me and my Rev3? I've noticed that when dropping down steep / long inclines my Beta acts like its trying to load up - kind of burbles a bit making me want to blip the throttle to clean it out (doesn't want to idle very well till the terrain flattens out). Is this only my bike, a Beta trait (raw gas getting dumped in the inlet tract when the carb throat is pointing toward middle earth), or something that happens on all bikes?

HI what are the ways to tell what year your rev3 is? I brought mine as a 2007 but im not sure what year it is, i have a feeling it may be a 2008 as the tank decals match, but im not sure as the 2008 has part black wheels and mine have been fully powder coated black, and i have a 2007 mudgaurd. To be honest i do suspect it of being older than a 2007 as it is not in as good condition as most of them of that age. Can you tell by the frame number or something else? Thanks Ben

Hi, My son has a new 2006 50cc mini trial and it wont idle properly. When riding, it idles high, but after 15~20 seconds it will idle right down then stop. * Have re-cleaned the carb with compressed air * Checked the inlet manifold for leaks. Checked bolts. * Confirmed that slide closes and opens fully and that steering movement does not interfere. * Needle and seat looks new (as it should). The fuel tap runs freely, but have noticed that fuel line constantly has a long air bubble inside it after the bike has ran for a few minutes (fuel pipe is clear tubing). I don't know why. Stalling problem interferes with his riding as we noticed it always does it when he …

Below are some test ran by my Father in the efforts to reduce clutch pull efforts. This is in ref to a 2007 Rev 3 250 however I suppose it would apply to all Rev models. On a post several months back I saw a topic on removing two of the 6 clutch springs to reduce the clutch pull effort. I have been told since then that this may cause the clutch to slip under extreme conditions. I have a Dad with to much time on his hands and he has been playing with his clutch effort and came up with this. I am wondering if anyone has tried this and what the results were. Here in Michigan it is difficult to test with the cold and deep snow. Clutch pull measurements taken using a R…

  15. Hi all, Ive been working on my 2006 beta rev 3 trails bike for days now trying to find the cause for an issue im having. Bike runs and idles ok although the exhaust does pop a little but im unsure if this is normal with it being a two stroke. The issue im having is that when i rev it up even on the stand and in neutral, the bike takes way longer than expected to return back down to idle. Ive chased a whole host of potential problems and I cant seem to find any faults. ive checked the airbox for cracks or holes and found none, ive checked the airbox to carb rubber boot and found no issues there and then ive taken the carb apart and cleaned out all the ports by s…

Hi, I've tried the handlebars on my rev 3 in all sorts of positions, forward, back or lined up with the forks. I keep finding my weight is too far forward when reaching down to the bars, I feel like I'm crouched over the front. Having ridden a friends beta rev 3 250 and scorpa these bikes felt more comfortable. I'm 5 foot 7. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried out after market bars and what are you opinions of them? Or should I just stick with the standard bars? Cheers, Heather

I dind’t really see this addressed yet. I just picked up a 2016 300 Factory 4T and I’m fitting the long range tank I got from someone. The instructions I’ve seen are all for the 2-stroke, the fuel line seems to have a bit of an off routing. Anyone here mounted one and how did you run it? thanks Mark

Does anyone else find it annoying that you can't put your side stand down with your foot? It's irritating having to reach down to do it with my hand, to the point where I usually look for a tree or wall to stand it against instead!
