Stolen Bikes

Two KTM's were stolen from Harpenden last night Thursday 5th march. Here are the details, please keep a eye out. 450exc BF52 YRZ 525exc FJ55 FUY

Hi All, PLEASE SHARE WITH EVERYONE AND MAKE THESE BIKES TOO HOT TO HANDLE! Last night, 20/8/15, my pride and joy TLR 200 along with my son's TL 125 were stolen from Bransgore, Hampshire. Attached is a photo of the TLR, reg no A522 BHL, engine number MD09E-1024961, frame number MD09-1024961. Regrettably I don't have details on the TL 125 other than it was in original condition but hadn't been run for several years. If you hear about a bike for sale or are looking at a TLR please check the frame number and give me a call, perhaps asking if they have any other old Honda's for sale. Hi All, One of my customers has had his Gas Gas 1997 Contact stolen. This bike has a poor kickstart and cooling fan was not working so if you see anyone either breaking this bike or looking for these spares please contact Andrew on 07891404777 the bike was stolen from near Penrith/Cumbria. Guys just to let you know there are bike thieves in the Watford & Hemel area. They are apparently targeting small bikes, including trials bikes. I was lucky the missus thought a door was flapping in the wind & went out to investigate to be confronted by two scroates, one with an iron bar in the garage. She asked what they were doing???!!! & after she tried to lock them in they pushed her out of the way they ran off closely followed by a silly bugger in his pyjamas welding a three foot extension bar. Just lucky the police found me before I found the scroates!!!!

With the issues of bike theft and trying to prevent it, what are your views and recommendations, when selling a bike. I did think about not allowing buyers to come to my house, rather meet them somewhere like outside the local Police station, but won't this raise there own suspicions? Anyway what do people recommend, how have you gone about previous bike sales?

Was away at the Road Racing at East Fortune,great weekend. Got a phone call from the wife when I got to my work this morning saying the the shed where I keep my bike had been broken into.Luckily for me I have the bike stripped for servicing so they didn't take it,but they used my tools to try to remove the door from my other shed(didn't notice the coach bolts) with little success so tried to lever the roof of my other shed.I live in Whitecraig,East Lothian,so please be aware and make sure your bikes safe. cheers the noo Brian

my friends gas gas jtr 160 has been stolen from a lock up container in cumbria last night along with some copper and a trailer , the bike is a 1996 model in yellow and athough i dont have the chassis number at the moment i do know the previous owners so i should be able to get it. it has the usual scars but some of its identificating features are the back fender has been bent back and cracked almost completely across and was repaired with a piece of plate underneath and riveted in place , it also has annodised bar clamps , the stopwatch in the tank plastic is missing , the front brake is rubbish , the engine makes a clicking noise when running like the kicksta…

Further to my recent report of a stolen bike in W Yorks. be on the look out for a van (make unknown) with reg no. DF 54 MWO. This van was seen being loaded with a trials bike (probably mine) but the current owner is not registered with DVLA (surprise). The police are trying to trace the vehicle so contact them if you see it.

Please give me some feed back here, would it help to have a registry for bikes? Maybe someone could then check at the comps to make sure all the bikes there are legitimately owned, not stolen. I'd be happy to help in any way. I'd do a website for the registry if needed.
