Hi guys i'm from Portugal and i recently got a JT 25 that wasnt loved enough before and that i've been restoring it. I had to bleed all the hidraulics, changed all the bearings from top to bottom, new brake pads, new brake and clutch lever, new radiator cap and fluid, new bolts all around, fixed some exaust leaks on the joints, new chain tensioner, did some paint and a few other stuff. I'm still waiting for the air filter but i decided to test the bike anyways without him to check the engine and the clutch. Hi all, what is the best way to bleed the rear brake on the gasgas? I replaced the rubber hose that goes from master cylinder to fluid pot as it was split but now can't get the brake to bleed no matter how vigourously i pump the pedal! I've bought a syringe off ebay that should be here tomorrow, hopefully that's the answer

Has anyone installed an S3 Low Compression Head Replacement? My 2023 Gasgas 250 TXT Racing is too lively for me and it feels like the throttle is either at idle or full on with very difficult low rpm control. The thing just jumps out from under me with the slightest twist of the throttle. It’s also hard to start and almost impossible without leaning it against a tree or a rock to stand up and kick the crap out of it. My old Yamaha TY250 was much easier to control and start. I’ve installed a slow throttle that proved somewhat helpful but now I’m considering an S3 low compression head. Does anyone have experience with them and what can I expect? just got a 2015 250 when under heavy load it was pinking slightly cant find any air leaks so lifted needle a notch from middle(richer)seems better just wondered if anyone had same problem or any other ways of improving running,also throttle is very light are they all like this or has someone been tampering with my spring thanks

Did a search but cldnot find a satisfying answer. Finally i want to split the cases of my 2002 pro gasgas, as i have this gear shifting problem. The problem is back shifting from 3rd to 2nd. And a grinding noise when in 4th. But now my question. Can i leave the clutchside untouched/intact, so waterpump/clutch, when i do the splitting. So basically i only have to remove the flywheel, and i can split it? What about the crankcase fit to the bearings? Is it a loose fit, or cold/warm pressed fit? Another thread on top of the ones I’ve been googling.... bike is back together and as clean as it’ll never be again.... finding the setting of the chain adjusters a bit confusing, not used to snail cams yet and a little unsure about the tension/alignment on the GG. Is it normal / expected to end up 4 notches out? Some points to consider: Chain tension is coming what looks to be ok at 10 from the end (pointy end - thumb’s worth of gap and some slack in the arm). Hi all, Im hoping for a little advice on the clutch in a gasgas pampera 250 i recently bought. When first going over the bike before riding it i had some issues getting the clutch system bled correctly and took the clutch cover off to check it was actuating well, and found the inside clutch cover was being eaten away by the bolts on the clutch basket: I took the plates out too, to look for any metal remains but they seem fine. I did notice that the plates were arranged oddly though; there were two fibre plates together at the end of the stack, plus the bottom plate (fibre one side, steel the other) was arranged fibre on fibre, with the steel facing the ba…

I'm looking through the older posts and find a few posts about reliability issues with the Gas Gas line. Is this apparent in newer models or was this a older model issue? If it's just one of those things where the owner needs to a lot of preventative maintenance then that's not so bad... but if it's one of those things where you need to stock up on extra parts like they're going out of style then it may be an issue.

Hi I have a 2003 gas gas pro runs like a dream and sounds good when on choke.. But then when choke is off makes like a knock noise when low revs or if blip throttle quickly.l Is this what's known as pinking .. Any help or advice would be appreciated ..

If I was in the market for a secondhand Gasgas somewhere between 2003 an 2012, which would be the significant model year changes I should look out for? Times when they actually introduced something new and (hopefully) better, rather than just some new graphics and a bit of bling.

Looking at 2013 Gasser 300 and a Beta 300. Been a Gasser guy for years but I kinda like the Beta too. Tell me why I should stay with GG. Anyone got a 13 300 pro yet? Will I find it way better than my 07 300? Will it turn as short as the Beta?

Hello gentleman, I am new to trials bikes as my son races woods on a KTM. He decided to get a trials bike for cross training for Endurocross. The bikes seem simple enough, I have read every post in this forum while working on an 05 TXT Pro (The clutch is much better now). Enough intro. Since we got it the rear brakes quit working. So last night I rebuilt the rear master cylinder. I bleed brakes, back bleed brakes, vaccum siphon, and bleed brakes again for three hours, nothing happens. It won't pull or push fluid. Hi all,just bought a TXT125 pro 03.Its in super condition,not been abused etc.Every thing fine exept for a rattling clutch,which is working ok,slightly dragging at the moment,but i think this can be sorted `cos the lever needs adjustment. Is the rattle anything to worry about??,I`ve heard its common on these bikes. Thanks in advance PS it only rattles when lever is out and not in gear,pull lever in,noise goes

This is not having a go at Gas Gas its more of a survey for my own curiosity. I was just having a think and I do not know of any Gas Gas pro above 125cc and over 3 years old that has NOT had to have its gearbox rebuilt. For some reasons 250s seem worst affected and I know 3 of these that have had to have he gearbox rebuilt twice before their fed up owners sold them Am I alone in my observations or is gearbox failure as common as it seems to me? I have a Raga 300 2011 and would like to know what is the best transmission oil to use. I've used motul transoil 10w30 and gro 75w. There is a big difference in price, so is the gro better? Also is dexrom 3 any good? Any advice would b gratefully received. Rich.

Hi all, I'm totally new to trials after racing crossers yrs ago so dont know much at all about trials bikes, but we have the internet to find out all we need so here goes, trouble is i've searched and searched about this bike and cant find any info at all so i thought i'd ask you guys, any info /opinions would be greatly appreciated.
