Hello all, I stripped the clutch on my 1993 Contact. When I took the plates out there were rubber/plastic (?) type discs in between. When I cleaned the oil from them they broke apart (all of them). Can anybody tell me what they are called and if I can get replacements? thanks

Hi, I've just bought a 2009 280 Eco. Now I don't have any trials experience but as in browsing the net doing research I've noticed there is not much aftermarket support compared to what I'm used to for mx and street bikes. So what do you guys do to these things to trick em out? Ti exhaust? Suspension? Wheels? I've heard the Eco is a bit heavier than the pro so just wondering what could be done to get it closer to the pro.

Hi Everyone, I'm new here but really need some help. Recently bought a 2009 250 txt pro and I'm having real trouble with the front brake. the first time that i tried to ride it, i go 10minutes before it was unridable due to the front brake locking up, so i packed up and drove home to have a look. one of the pistons in the calliper was seized up a little but with a bit of persuasion , it was moving freely again. Now i have put the lower banjo bolt back, and attempted many times to bleed the system, i have about got a brake there, but its still binding. I have fitted new pads, removed some oil from the master cylinder, fitted new seals to the master cyl…

Is there a way to visually tell if a rim band needs to be replaced? See pics below. About 3 months ago I had to replace a few spokes which required me to remove and reinstall the rim band. I cleaned it up well including wire brushing the rim and put small dabs of green Slime on each spoke nipple and then coated the rim band in Slim before carefully stretching it back over the time. Tire held air fine until a few days ago when I noticed it was flat. Soapy water showed air leaking from several spokes. UPDATE I bought new rim band but having trouble getting one section to sit correctly in the "channel". I used just soapy water. Do you think this will seal …

On the clutch side the pivot bolt holding lever to m/cylinder rotates as you pull lever in. On brake side it stays put. I think it should stay put but cannot understand the difference between the two. Any expert views out there?

The adjuster on my clutch lever (S3 lever and adjusters) was wound right in but the clutch was still slightly dragging. Whatever I did couldn't fix it (checked plate thickness etc). It was only when I was showing someone that I suddenly thought the adjuster didn't look particularly long. Sure enough, unscrewed it from the lever and it was badly worn. Borrowed a new one from a friend and hey presto all is good again. So, if you have clutch adjustment issues, check the condition of your adjusters before pulling things apart! Just thought I'd share. If I knew how to add photos I would.

Hi guys, this is my first post on this board, thanks for any input you might have. I have only been riding trials for a year. I was practicing today and went over a small double step carrying the front high. as I have many times before. When the front came down I heard a large metalic crack, needless to say I limped home. It appears the steering axle has sheared where the axle tapers to the threads for the top stem nut. This seems quite odd has anyone ever heard of this happening before. I hope it is not expensive, and I hope that the steering axle will push out of the bottom triple clamp. Thanks dave

Hi,just received my new chain tensioner which is a Gas Gas part and have found that there is much more tension to be gained on the spring when trying fit it,also noticed that a small gap is present between the parts which hold the spring in location, which the spring forces into causing damage, which was evident on the old one which I removed,a washer could prevent this.Question is how do you load the spring and screw in the bolt and has anyone noticed the problem with the gap mentioned. Regards Andy.

Hi Got my 05 Pro out a couple of weeks ago and after 5-10 minutes (it was a hot day) the fan came on. However, it refused to cut back out again and stayed on. Rode for another twenty minutes with the fan on constantly then put the bike away. Checked coolant level when I got home, and all was well. The next day I got the bike out, and immediately upon starting it the fan came on and stayed on again. This situation has remained ever since, with the fan coming on as soon as bike starts. I have checked electrical connections on thermostat are solid and WD40'd wiring etc. Can anyone help with suggestions as to what I should check and how, it would be much appreciated as…

Hi there can anyone help me with a problem with my 04 txt. Generally runs well apart from when it gets hot. If im on a long ride between sections or generally riding for a while before stopping the revs are taking a long while to die down to normal tick over speed. Then if I go to rev it again it coughs and almost dies (like trying to rev it when its cold). I find if I kill the engine then restart the problem goes away for a short while then comes back. Bike is in good order, well maintained, carb/air box cleaned on a regular basis, has only been happening the last couple of months. Any ideas?

As the title suggests i am curious as to the Difference between 10 Raga and 11 Pro. Given by the time they arrive in Australia it is only a few months before the 11 arrives. Wondering if it is worth the extra cost, $2000. The only differences i can note are the colour scheme, the handle bars and higher compression head. And really if that is all then $2000 dollars will buy the head for the pro model and many other performance parts. so my question is what are the real differences to justify the extra money and is it worth it? Thanks for your time, tried to find the answers on the forum here and various websites without luck.
