My first post on here and hoping my fellow ossa owners may have some ideas. I have a 2011 280i, I'm having an issue with it starting. It was running fine at a recent trial. I parked bike up, killed engine and went to walk the section. Couple of minutes later came back to the bike and it just wouldn't start I checked plug and have spark, it also runs with a drop of fuel in cylinder until it's burnt off. I'm thinking it's possibly the fuel pump or whatever sends a signal to that. Anyone had this issue or any ideas for cause??

Has anyone yet determined if the Jitsie Ossa tr280 air filter is an addition to the regular filter, or a replacement? I have one and the dual foam filter looks like it could be meant as a replacement. At the very least it should make cleaning of the main filter less frequent as if it acts as a pre-filter it should catch 99% of the crap before it gets to the main. Sunlingkau, I think you also have one, what do you think of it, and do you run it as a pre-filter?

Disclaimer; As a newer novice rider I am painfully aware that this bike is way, way more bike than I need or can make proper use of. To be honest, I just don't care, the more I learned about it the more I felt like I had to have one. I will keep riding and I will keep getting better. I am a huge technology junkie and I really appreciate the engineering I see on this bike. You folks here seem to like them plenty, I have a few questions. This bike is supposedly a limited edition as well, does that mean anything at all or are all 'factory' models limited editions? What upgrades does the factory version have that the regular bike does not, is it lighter, how much? 300…

Don't know where I've been the last year that I haven't seen this machine ! I guess UNDER a log Anyway , I am VERY interested in buying one for my next bike ,like in a couple months. I am used to FI , we have been running it on our MX bikes and race quads since about 2002 Is there any way an individual can remap this bike? No dealer anywhere close , maybe 300 miles. What is the parts avail in the US ? How has the reliability been? Anything else I need to know?

I'm trying to tune a Keihin carb for my Ossa 250 Gripper. I don't have any experience with these modern carbs, so it's being complicated. Can anybody give me a good starting point for its settings? If I'm not wrong, OKO jets are also valid for my Keihin. Thanks in advance.

Well, with OSSA in difficulty also Kokusan Denki (the japanese maker of OSSA's fuel injection system) name is gone, it's now bought by german Mahle corporation I see on their web page: Effective January 1, 2016, the company name of Kokusan Denki Co., Ltd. has changed into “MAHLE Electric Drives Japan Corporation” Good thing is Mahle is very good quality stuff, I've bought filters etc consumables from Mahle for my BMWs (they're OEM producer for BMW too) and really top notch quality, so I don't see it being a problem. But pity they had to change their nice sounding Jap name into some rough german "Ramstein-ish" sounding name. Anyways, just sayin', those Kokusan…

I know i`ve probably bored everyone by now but when I removed the tank today I noticed it had what looks like two tank stops on the top tube. I`ve never seen these before and thought it might be a clue as to who made the frame. Any info on the frame or bike would be gratefully received.

I have a 2012 TR280 running ECU 11 firmware and map #15. Just wondering if this is the latest map update for this version or have more been produced? I used to get updates from Bob at OSSA Canada but that is no longer an option. Australian distribution and back up is not much help at present either. Any suggestions? Cheers

Seem to have developed a leak on my clutch master, fluid seems to be leaking from around the sight glass. Anyone else experienced this and any suggestions on a fix? I am not sure if they are a press fit or if there is a O ring or are they just glued in

Replaced o ring, still leaks, lot when on stand. Apparently the fix is to get it machined for oil seal? Anybody done this? Thanks

Trying to clean up some of my cables on my 72 OSSA MAR. Had the clutch cable off and now the lever even with lots of movement on the clutch activating lever on the case will not disengage the clutch. It is like something is not correct with the clutch actuating rod. I believe there is a ball in there but not sure where it is or if it could have fallen out. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Almost my only compliant about my Explorer is the rear linkage. It is probably just fine for most trials- but I ride it a lot and in a lot of mud and water. Those bushings are ok if you take the thing apart a lot- but I'd rather have something a little more robust and with zerk fittings. Anyone looked at coming up with something else? Or no issue for anyone else? Bearings and zerks would be nice. Even just zerks would be ok, since I could hit it every ride. Mark
