  1. Broke every one I've had, even the new one I was trying to get out of the packet
  2. Check you have the correct amount of plates in the right order.
  3. Check you have enough free play at the clutch lever and the reservoir isn't too full.
  4. Ta for your views and info about guide/tensioner arrangements on the trials/mx bikes.
  5. If the tensioners purpose is to to allow enough chain slack for use with long travel suspension, why aren't they fitted to MX and enduro bikes?
  6. Is the tensioners purpose to allow a slack chain to be used due to long travel suspension?
  7. I use both. Fast on the right, slow on the left.
  8. You can have a worn seal on the magneto side and not lose gearbox oil.
  9. If there's a bad connection it could be arcing, check to see if it's hot and for signs of scorching/melting.
  10. It could be staining from exhaust gasses, as the piston closes the port it will create a slight vacuum pulling gasses back from the pipe, there are also exhaust gas pulses exiting the pipe which create a negative charge which travel back up the pipe preventing excessive unburnt charge escaping into the exhaust improving burn efficiency. Theres more to it than this, 2strokes aren't so simple after all, they probably shouldn't work, there's black magic at work which is why I like them. Anyway, if it's knocking check the con rod, piston and main bearing clearances/condition.
  11. Us unfortunate two stroke owners change oil up to 6000 times a minute.
  12. Who on earth wants a heavy bike. Lift the restriction, make them lighter than air so chods like me get some affordable trickle down effect.
  13. Does it need one, is it a bit too responsive to the throttle?
  14. Is the gap around the bolt head not caused by the tab elongating due to the crack, e.g. you now have an oval hole, the bolt has moved forward with the engine or the frame has stretched.
  15. Unscrew the Allen bolt that secures the kickstart to the centre of the shaft about 2 turns. Then pull the kickstart out so that it presses onto the top of the bolt, this will extract the kickstart knuckle from the shaft. If its tight all the way unscrew the bolt a few turns again and repeat.
  16. Buy the bag of 50. Manufacturers fastner prices are too high, Yamaha want £4 for an 8mm x 50mm shouldered bolt I was after.
  17. Was the radiator fan turning, water pump impeller operational and coolant level ok?
  18. Been using Jitsie for a year, bit sweaty in hot weather but they get tossed in the washer and haven't fell to bits yet. The unanswerable part is would they or any other prevent shattered knee caps.
  19. And you can dip bread in when peckish.
  20. Had 2013, 14 and 15 GG 250's, ridden weekly, no problems with any. And it's all my own money.
