Cheers Vinnie.
Get them extentions done on the bash plate ASAP, I've had some right good wack's on mine.
I ride alot of stream venues and on one of the most recent trials the side extention of the bash plate took a hell of a knock, I'll post a pic of the battle scar's in the morning

Now all the 315R owners are going to be selling there bikes to buy the new Four Stroke now might be the time to buy nice S/H 315 for the right price.
I would be looking at 2001 onwards, any faults or problems I should know about ??
I've got GG in the back of my mind but despite the cheap price of the new bikes (

Just as everyones was telling me the 04 Pro was sorted, I read this about the 05 model
Hopefully its a one off, I was thinking about getting one, but I think I'll wait a while longer to see if anymore "Friday afternoon" bikes slip through the net.
I know there's probably loads of GG out there that are ok but knowing my luck I'd end up with a bad un!.
-
How does it compare from the 125 DG??
I'd love to have a go on the new 175 but the I think the chances of that are very slim.
Folks are very quick to dismiss the little four stroke (even when it beats there two stroke 250's!) and I would guess you will have the same negitive comments said to you that I've had said to me.

Just looked at the TC homepage (I got straight to forums as a rule) and noticed the The advert for the show.
Checked out the latest news link and low and behold I qoute
"Meet TC

It's just up the road from me so I'll be going, don't know much about it other than the ads that have been in TMX, the guys from Stoneliegh show seem to be a bit paranoid when you read there adverts.
Do the guys who do the Stoneliegh show think everyone's going to spend all there money at Telford or something?
How much of it will be for us Trials guys??
-
Yeah go for it Andy stick it to that Yorkshire/Welsh hybrid thing that calls himself Bikespace
He's the only bloke I know that walks into a Welsh pub with an English Rugby shirt on (I reckon he was after 'tackling' the bar maid)
-
I hear on the Grapevine that Bikespace is having a brand new 05 next week
-
Leave my Tit's alone! you wern't complaining much last night was you
As for the road trial. I'd wished I'd have gone to yours instead I'll tell you about it next time I see you (Breidden Hills AGM??, I'm going on me CBR if it don't p*** down)
Cheers for the advice Woody on the Scott Jacket, sounds just up my street, I'll bell Alan Wright and see if he's coming to Telford
-
Sounds like a this guy is "avin a larff", GG hater maybe??? dude's a fresh poster so I'd take it with a pinch
-
I've not got no price on a Hebo yet, guessing at
-
Fair Point Marky Boy, on the flip side I had my ear drums popped by some young lad riding a 80cc GG the other Sunday........they can be just as noisy as one another
I agree with Gaz, the noise problem is an issue, I'm sure I read somewhere about one of the Jap manufactures making an ECO friendly two stroke, more so than a Four banger..
-
Cheers JTT
I know what your saying......I've got a road trial this Sunday (forecast is for Rain ) I'll check out what the other riders are wearing and maybe try some on!
Cheers once again guys
-
Cheers guys, I've delt with wigglw before, good people. I never even thought about MTB gear this time
Great website too, what a nice change to get good in depth details about clothing and sizes etc etc.
-
I'm after a good Trials jacket for the winter months, doing a few road trials so it's got to be quite warm and longer in the body than say a paddock type Jacket.
What are the Hebo Jackets like?
any ideas?
-
Bet he'd be even better on IRC eh Dabster
-
Steve Saunders is the daddy in the mud bar none....Where the hell the guy finds grip form is beyond me! seeing him ride mud is amazing.
-
hey Jay, qoute: The question was about grip. Never mentioned the other aspects of the sport of trialing. Jay L.

I have owned a 02, 03, and 04 SY250. Whatever vibration you were feeling is not normal. That Yamaha engine is one of the smoothest packages going.
Maybe he had an engine bolt coming loose I didn't like to say anything to the owner in case he took it the wrong way.
I noticed it most as I hooked it up through the gears on the way back to the car park, would p*** me off on a road trial.
The thing I do like about the Scorpa and the Mont is that Jap Engine design, you just don't beat them at that.
-
Have you had chance to compare to the 125 version yet Vinnie?
I agree with Jaylael on the first gear thing, I wouldn't fancy riding my 125 on the hard route, but then again you wouldn't buy a 125 Scorpa to ride Expert stuff on!.
I had chance to have a go on an 04 250 SY Scorpa this weekend, only 15 mins in the brook and up some muddy banks.....rode nice, thing that struck me was the thing vibrated a fair bit!! I never had chance to ride a TYZ when they were out so I can't say if there all like that.
I'm looking into buying a S/Hand bike next year to keep the Scorpa 125 company in the garage, not sure if I'd go for an SY250 after my little play on my mates this weekend, I like the look of the 315R, but some guy told me there "Hard to ride"!!!...whatever that means
-
That engine does sound like a tasty bit of kit though
I'm sure I could put up the the brake pedal if ever I could afford one
-
Hey Vinnie, some ****'s nicked your petrol cap!!!
Rear mudguard looks a bit better than the 125, have you ridden it yet??
-
Sounds like you really need a raga rep
