  1. looks to me like there has been no antifreeze used for a long time, just pure water. I know the Antifreeze has inhibitors in it to stop this sort of thing.
  2. I've got both Ishy (got an Alloy tank made) I'll sell the seat but I want to keep the Tank as a spare incase the alloy one breaks. Mail me your email address and I'll post you a pic of the seat to see if it's what your after.

    Sherco 4-stroke

Screw and locknut adjusters are s..t, Bucket and shim are by far the better way to adjust the Valve clearance....I would be ver surprised if anyone still use's screw and lock nut. As for the 2T oil mix in the petrol....whats all that about eh???? if it's a true fourstroke it gets it's lube from the engine oil...I've never heard of any fourstroke engine being used with a T/S petrol/oil mix...sounds like BS to me! Pic's of the Sherco in TMX this week look good, I think the HRC bike will be the one I'd go for , just check out all the old TLR and RTL bikes still around these days....I'm still not sure on the Sherco build quality, I'd sooner pay the extra few quid and go for something I know is going to last in the HRC machine...till that happens I just have to keep giving the two strokes a licking on my 125 Scorpa 4T
  4. My old Shoei used to stink to high heavan, same as you I tried all the sprays etc and as a last resort I washed the thing out in a hot bath....still stunk....the cure was the bin
  5. Christ.....Thats the thing I most hate about my 125S
  6. Wiggle are great to deal with, I've just bought several items off wiggle, a couple of lightweight Jackets at knocked down prices. Look great, strong enough and more to the point...loads cheaper than yer average crappy hebo/ Clice/ etc etc. Check it out
  7. Easy Fix Gaz, your problem is them Little Blue letters down the Frame tube, I see lots of the bikes giving trouble..Change the : SHERCO to a SCORPA and you'll have no more S..t
  8. I would agree that you wouldn't be able to buy from the factory, but I bet the shop down the road would cut you a good deal
  9. The old TY's do hold there money, I just sold my Pinky (the best model to buy) for
  10. Guys, all these bikes are FAR TOO CLEAN!! do they ever get ridden????
  11. Dabster, you sound like a Sherco sales man"!! are you?

    Rtl-250

Ain't Honda's Class? I went up to my local Honda off road centre on Saturday, no trials bike there but they did have some of the Fourstroke Enduro machine's the 250 looks so good I wouldn't want to get it dirty! The welding on the alloy frame was the best I've ever seen...top machine's for sure. Mark
  13. there was one on ebay the other week, didn't follow it's progress. Probably some Farmer ended up buying it to round his Sheep up with
  14. Cheers for that r2wtrials, after dusting up on my Spanish I think there saying they have copied my design and ideas of my 125
  15. Your more than welcome to have a go on mine Gaz, Ross too if he wants, don't be afraid to rev the nuts off mine either, I do it all the time Might see you at Hawkstone this weekend mate, maybe have a beer or ten
  16. I'm sorry but I just don't buy this Birkett you will do as well on a little bike philosophy at all. Taken to extreme we would do just as well with cable brakes and clutch twin shocks and drum brakes. The amount of power churned out by my 290 is directly related to the amount I twist the throttle, ok I use first maybe more than I should but I have never run out of power on a hill climb or thought my bike won't get up a step. I doubt I would ever feel the same on a ttr. Dabster, you must work for the labour party..there full of s..t too Just kidding!!! I think what DGShannon is saying your average club rider (see you and me) wont do any worse riding say a 125 Scorpa (or any other small cc machine) in the type of events that "WE" are likely to enter. Now judging by your picture with doug, you don't look like the sort of chap who still rides the expert route (no offence) I stand corrected if you do still "hav it large" up 4ft rock steps and bounce your bike around the course, the only area where I would agree with you is a muddy 'steep' hill climb is the only area where the SY125 will struggle. I ride mine round the clubman route in wales and I find it copes great, I do admit it would struggle on the expert route with those steep climbs etc, but it's not really aimed at your average expert is it But, as if I really give a s..t
  17. Hey come on guys, don't leave now!! Bikespace's been selling loads of um, all the Welsh lads are riding in um
  18. I know where there is an mint 01 GG TXT 200 for sale, I've got some reservations about the build quality and how strong the motor's are. Some of my mates tell me to leave the year 02 range alone but previous years and 03> are the safe bet......is this right?? thanks in advance
  19. Here's the cheapest in the land, Bikespace has loads of em for sale http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...2486061893&rd=1
  20. Whats the difference between the 04...the Sticker kit????
  21. I presume the 150 'Scorpa kit' will have another cam supplied? or a higher or lower comp piston? I'm not sure what's in the TTR kit. What are the other mods off the Two stroke?? I know some folks have moaned about the front brake being a bit poor and some have fitted a twin piston caliper, @ the moment mines fine with the std single piston set up. The suspension is fine too, I'd have to have a go on a 150 kitted model to see if it's worth the while spending on the little bike. Never mind the engine and cycle mods......what about that pig ugly back mudguard
  22. I love riding mine DG, I think for club trials it's the perfect tool. Always makes me smile when I have a better ride than a someone else on the latest all singing Two smoke machine I'm finding it really shine's in rocky streams, the mellowness of the motor is spot on for the Welsh rockery I tend to ride up, pop here in Bottom gear and let the bike do the rest. Long drag wet muddy hill climbs are probably it's only weak spot. Laters
  23. Agree with you guys, an Air Impact driver / Gun is the only way to go on this, same goes for loosening off Fly wheel nuts (or doing them up) these little tools save loads of time and grief Mark
  24. I know what your saying Steve, I was going to go the other way and make first gear more like second (12 teeth on the G/Box instead of 11). I'll leave it now for a few months and see how the motor loosens up before I make the plunge,......... a local pre 65 rider was saying that a chap he knows has got a TYS125 (peter gaunt I think he said his name was) he's going down the route of actually altering the internal gearbox cogs to make it better. I've heard of Mr Gaunt in TMX and the like, I'd love to get hold of his number if anybody knows it? I'd love to speak to him and see what he thinks of the bike.
