quite a few people I have asked don't like the '07 gasser. (looks wise). I have to say that I don't like it much either,I think the black frame looks cheap and nasty whereas on the sherco I think it really suits them and looks great! when looking at the Gas Gas I think it generally looks abit "tacky." But I haven't riden any '07s so can't comment on how they ride! Maybe see if I blag a go this weekend on a gasser! So back to the point. I don't think the gasser will be the most popular!
Cheers

Oh my days! I don't usually like the look of Beta's but I thought the 07 bikes looked OK, but that thing, in those colours has started a party in my pants!

Yer will do but I am just using the lock nut at the moment just nipped it up and backed it off a little I also put a small of loctite on the nut which is a nylock so it wont be coming undone and it should be alrite but if I have any trouble will get my uncle to helicoil it for me! I think the problem was slightly cocked threads on the bolt and because the material is so soft it just pulled the threads!
Many thanks

Hi All
This evening I went to change my levers on my 06 125 that is now about 1 1/2 months old from new to some nice gold appico ones and after removing the lock nut on the front brake side i went to undo the bolt holding the leaver, the factory had done this up fairly tight but as I undid it it was grinding slightly and when i removed the bolt alol the threads pulled out with it! Now I don't want to fork out

I take it they are the star ones? I got a set of universal sockets from a autofactors they go from about 3mm to 15mm or similar but they grip them great they also hold sqauer bits of bar basically anything they will hold. So maybe get some of these they are worth the money because they are usful for loads of other stuff to!
Sorry I couldn't be more specific!

Usually at a trial I spend so much time faslling off in the mud normal bubble bath wont cut it, so I tend use cillit bang or similar!

My uncle painted a vintage road bike with coach paint. You brush it on but it then it goes glossy and the brush marks disappear! Looked great he said! Not sure how tough it is though?

I pulled acracker on a conservatory company. I said I was the home owner when they asked. I pretended to be really interested in there products got loads of info and talked to them for about 3/4 of an hour got really exited about it, then when they asked where i lived so they could give me a quote on the size and stuff for it so when i gave them my address i said "No.7 2nd floor of "The Roselind block" ........".
Then p?#s!d myself laughing and just said gotcha and hung up! They havent phoned again or at least i havent answered the phone with them on the end! I'm laughing about it now!

Ihad real troubles aswell so what i did was to get a propane torch and gently heat the hub of the wheel it will expand slightly then run penetrating fluid around the bearing and leave it for a bit then heat the hub once more flip the wheel over and with a socket that fits tight inside the spacer end knock it out, it should come out easy!
Hope this helps

Hi
I found my old gasgas doing this when starting it with the choke on. What I did was to put the choke on and start it but as soon as it is started I used the choke with my fingers playing it to keep the revs at an axeptable level but still keeping the bike on the choke.
Hope this helps because it scared the hell out of me when I started it at my first trial!

After studying this post and my phsics books, to lighten the clutch there needs to be a smaller master cylinder but then this means you need more stroke to move the slave the same distance as before, so I guess its all about getting a balance.
Edit:This is my 100th post I am now an advanced member! YAY!!!
-
On my old gasgas i stripped the threads in the small master cylinder a got a replacement which was a big one and it definatly made my clutch lighter and also it had a smoother action. But after I am all out of ideas sorry!
-
Maybe try a larger ajp master cylinder I have heard they lighten the clutch? I am curious, What do they say about small hands?....................................................Small gloves?
Please forgive me I am young and naive!lol
