  1. Just looking at the condition of the bike, the condenser will need to be replaced or added at the coil wire.
  2. Bend your knee`s you are not that tall.
  3. There is nothing wrong with a Rev 3 for a first bike. But that is way too much money for a 20 year old bike. Tires and all the rubber and air filter will be needing to be replaced. A lot of parts are unobtainable now. It was a pretty blue color vs some of Beta`s choices through the years. 3 grand or buy a newer bike.

    Beta 50cc Zero

Just buy it, for 400 bucks you can`t go wrong. Parts will not be easy to find. And that was a 1992 model.
  5. If you do end up putting both seals in, be sure to go to the TRS USA website as Jim has a few very good video`s. There is a certain trick to the kickstarter to get the case off easily.
  6. Being it is the first since the case replacement, I would hit the dealer up for just the outside seal and see how long it lasts. Pay close attention to the old seal for small plastic pieces. We have not had an issue since last September, I changed shaft, seals and impellor. All under warranty and everything was shipped fast. The engine is really put together very well I would buy another.
  7. I would just change it again. Almost all the time it comes out the weep hole when the seals are bad. Not a bad idea to keep a spare outside seal. Which can be changed without taking the bike further apart. By the way the above diagram is incorrect. You need to look at the 2018 RR parts book. The seals are on the outside of the gear.
  8. Most of the 2018`s had the front seal go. When my son`s went it was because the impeller had tightened up on the shaft and plastic debris had gotten into the seal.
  9. I cannot get a close enough view. Are you sure there is not a centering mark on both the cam and lever. Seems thier was on my 200.
  10. It is low but should run. I am betting you need main bearings and seals.
  11. It has made for an interesting thread Dan. Thanks!
  12. Yeah, you were closer with the Beta clutch fix.(You got 166 thousand views!) Which still is not the problem. It is clutch drag that can be fixed with the proper shims. Cheap, under ten dollars and less than 20 minutes work. You have less than a dozen guys interested in the NEW FIX.
  13. Here is one of the best graphs for understanding jetting. Everyone always forgets the pilot circuit is on 100% of the time. Across the pond we tend to jet the pilot jet richer, seems in the UK they go right to replacing the slide. Must be the difference in fuel.
  14. This could go either way with jetting. I assume you are in the Uk since you had a bike stolen. Summertime jetting can be different on a two stroke. Have you asked Steve?
  15. They need it to make some other noise than what it does. All the new large Electric`s make very annoying sounds.

  17. Galfer is all you need. Plenty of places to get them in the trials world. Your just stuck in the closed minded thinking of large dealerships.
  18. You dont check it, you change it. If it is not leaking you are good to go.
  19. Fastest time should have no place for starting order in trials. Either make it random or the top riders start first. If this was a race I might agree. It was a novelty to watch in person, but has nothing to do with who is the best trials rider.

    ty80 questions

48 seems what I used. Lots of useless nonsense here. Best kids bike ever. https://advrider.com/f/threads/the-compleat-yamaha-ty80-thread.574301/
  21. Those poor minders, running to spot on 3-4 obstacles per section. And all the comments about riders stopping, you forget they are giving time for the minders to get ready!
  22. Must have been down for the weekend. Working now even with a search.
  23. You did at that, but a running bike put away for 1.5 years should not have nothing to do with the CDI. It should be a grounding or connection issue. But we all know stranger things have happened.
