  1. Thanks Wayne Never had any problems with my original cub hub which was on the "wrong" side. Mind you the brake was so bad excess heat was never an issue !
  2. I take it that the aluminium of the hub expand faster than the liner. If they expand at the same rate, or the steel faster, presumabley not a problem, or can that make the hubs oval. Genuinly interested. Do Grimeca hubs have a thread or are they shrunk. Anybody know ?
  3. get one of these fully equipped with 2 wheel drive and machine gun - who's not going to give you a clean ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dN5PAwc1ns8&NR=1

few days, I never bother with the rocking in 4th bit , just start it, point to a clear space, slip it into gear with the bike moving, and ride about with the clutch in until it frees.
  14. Not quite the same, I enjoy seeing Groundhog Day once a year, and it only lasts 90 minutes !
  15. How do these wheels compare weight wise to spoked/drum hubs ?
  16. b40rt replied to hewson's topic in Fantic
Dont know about Fantic but have extended arms by about 10mm, usually there is some internal constraint anyway.

SWM, Gori, Garelli also had Grameca (sp) hubs but will also be 25+ years old. Is your own hub beyond repair ? If its just the threads that are away it should be repairable. A picture would help.
  18. Thought for a minute that you were going to say move towards earth. Have tried babelfish, but no further forward.
  19. Hi Charlie That makes sense regarding the cable run. I was told that some of the replica hubs had a groove to encourage water to exit the hub, and that would be specific to which side the brake plate was on. I thought that the steel/iron insert was shrunk into the hub, and therefore not effected by direction ? Ross
  20. blue mudguard (singular)
  21. Just a thought, but which side should he front brake be on. (or would have been on originally)
  22. If your planning to try this remember to add anti-freeze.

  24. Inner Peace I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me today, and we all could probably use more calm in our lives! Some doctor on the TV this morning said that the way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started. So I looked around my house to see things I'd started and hadn't finished and, before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of shhhardonay, a bodle of Baileys, abutle of vocka, a pockage of Pringlies, the res of the Chesescke a n a box a chocolets.
