  1. Such an optimist. Can't really see anything, frame top tube may have been extended to sharpen up the steering ?

Hi Patrik, Martin sells the manifold from air box to carb, but hasn't got any of the carb to inlet at the moment. Ross

Anybody got a inlet to carb rubber ? I've tried Martin and Jumbostu. Thanks Ross Must be the SWM straight one, not the cranked Aprilia etc.

  7. Few things "work" when people go out of their way to make them fail.

  9. almost exactly same as b40
  10. Do they have tapered tops ? Very similar to standard B40.
  11. Ditto, price for twin shock Aprilia actually made laugh !

Hi mudyman What oil are you using, 5 30 works for me. As you know they are never very good anyway. A TXR cover will also help if you can find one, cable run and lever are also important. Ross

Fantastic find Martin, I'd go with you.
  16. Aaah the good old National Board Coal wellies ! I would rather have wet feet personally. Only water proof till the foot pegs ate the instep and they leaked through there.
  17. An older twin shock, road registered would also do the job. Something like a 348 !!
  18. If it takes two people to remove the spring, it's the wrong one . ( unless your 20 stone)
  19. Stevenson cakes were excellent yesterday.

Change the condensor before you do anything else.
  21. Do you have an agreed value ? Might find in a total loss they only give you £50, worth checking.
  22. Water pump plyers are better, less chance of damage.

Would have been interesting if you had fitted a new Dellorto to one of them to identify if the improvement was purely down to Oko' s being better, or just better than a worn Dellorto. I have a 240 with original carb and can't really fault it.

Greeves will answer all your questions when he gets back from holiday. Fantastic event, lots on YouTube to watch will give you a taste of what it's about. Usually three routes which start with yellow easy. I have been lucky enough to ride it twice now, would recommend it anyone . Defiantly should be on the "list to do before you die" Many TC members have ridden it so you will get answers to most questions.
  25. Thought lye was a strong alkali ?
