    01 321 Or 06 300

if it were me i'd ride both bikes and see which one suits me best. i've had a 321 very nice bike, reliable and an confident inspiring machine. I've also had a 300 pro, lots of power lovely bike too. reliability if they are in similar condition the 321 is better. on the 300 everything is fast running quick to respond and in the right hands it can be an animal. the 321 is a bit more of plodder, would suit a not so good rider has more weight which can be a good thing.
  2. I was of the thinking the 240 started from 1982. The pic below if of my petrol tank date stamp which say 11/81, so does this mean the bikes were first made in 1981, or what does this mean?
  3. When the scoring is low it only takes a couple of mistakes to put you out of the running. My thinking is JD had a few silly mistakes but the course was not that challenging for him and he may have lost concentration. not taking anything from SC, top job cracking ride he's on that new evo?
  4. Am i reading this right??......Andy is tossing himself off whilst your chatting (typing) a message to him, someone say i'm wrong please
  5. Hello, Does anyone know of this event in April and where i can getta hold of the regs and a contact telephone number? I've done a search on Google and came across this: http://www.ndmc.org.uk/Events/Exmoor/2009/...rial%202009.pdf. However these regs mention cars and motorcycles. I've a contact name of Bill Hartnell but i'm not sure if i've the correct number because no one answer the phone. So can anyone help, or just point me in the right direction? Many thanks, Cliff

    Fantic 240 Pro

My 240 has its own charter which makes it appealing I've rode identical machines and they feel different i guess thats part of the appeal of a twinshock. I've used spares: bill pye, bob wright (r2w website), in motion (inmotiontrials.com).

    Honda Tlr

If you subscribe to YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE on page 74, sammy is advertising a new frame (apologises if this topic has already been discussed and i've no connection to sammy some of the contact info i've deleted so you'll need to find this info yourselves). I'm not a fan of the TLR's but i wouldn't mind owning a bike like this, does anyone else build frames for the TLR's?
  14. I would go but i don't see any twinshock trials bike on a display.
  15. I have an 08 sy and was looking to buy an 10 sy.... rumours were/are the 2010 bikes would be a complete revamp. This is my second new scorpa and i'm hoping someone can help save this firm they make excellent clubman bikes and quality of build is on par with montesa....gutted
  16. shouldn't your reply have read "Very top left you have been warned!"
  17. The UK to have the euro Montesa must be next.
  18. I've the 08 i bought it new. The gearing is standard what that is i'm not sure. It will pull in 4th gear in muddy sections, up hills and i've never felt the need to change from the standard setup.

    Facebook?

signed up to facebook some time back but never used it that much, i'm added to trialscentral group.
  20. Offing up the 08 KTM clamps to my Fantic yokes its defo possibility. I did measure the fat bars (handlebar diameter) on my KTM and they came in a 391mm round. My scorpa sy, which has trials fat bars also came in at 391mm round. The original fantic mounts would have to be removed (machined flush) and then two holes drilled throw to yoke to mount the KTM clamps. I would consider fitting the clamps myself but i don't have the tools to machine the top yoke. I've taken a photo of KTM clamps which maybe of use.....let me know if you go for it.
  21. Sounds good to me lee ....i was just reading elliedog orginal post and he mentioned KTM. i've a set of fat bar clamps off my ktm in my garage which are not in use, now where did i leave that tape measure?
  22. Maintenace and the lack of will kill any bike. Design faults are a pain there's no dispute, so why not sort the things which are easily done and then enjoy the bike?....and so what if it leaks fuel speak to the dealer or importer find the fix. Its far better to have a fix then have no cure and the 4rt is no saint......blimming thing would not start when hot, or the tick over flys you around a section, or the clutch is so on off its like hitting a brick wall at 60mph, its too noisy...but then the rear wheel design on a 4rt is so much better than any of the others (yes the new gas gas has it this year).
  23. The BMW also did well at the Erzberg, but didn't win! I haven't seen Knight ride a four stroke at the Last Man Standing, Erzberg and any other extreme events? The four strokes are good at the west beach race and GBXC along with the WEC. The tough one is an extreme course and two stroke win face the facts. Taddy could have rode a KTM 450 at the tough one but is chosing to ride a 200 two stroke and he's one of the best rider in the world.
