Hi All New to this site and to trials so Hi to all, anyhow my mate is doing up a Fantic but me being me I've gone and bought a 242 to restore and making a few calls have found out that this bike may be hard to find parts. I'm just dismatiling it at present so not sure what I'm after, if you know what I mean. many thanks for any input. Andy.

Does anyone have a Cota 25 tail light lense they can part with? It's small, about 1-1/4" round, dome shaped and screws onto the light base. It's the only thing I need for my 25 and so, of course, will pay WAY more than it's worth to get one.

Hi folks, I am using longer shocks on my Ossa MAR. They give me more ground clearance and make turning easier, but they raise the pegs up as well. I was thinking about lowering my pegs. Just wanted some feedback on that idea. Thought it might bring my center of gravity down a bit. I put some aftermaket pegs on that are wider and have a lot of grip. These pegs ended up being higher than the stock ones which doesn't feel comfortable. Just thought lowering them even more might be better. I'm not that tall, but I feel like I'm too high and bending too much to get to the bars. Just an experiment over the winter. And I'm going to leave the stock mounts where they are and make n…

Hi i wonder if anyone on here could tell me the the measurements of the holes of the above fork braces, my measurements are 120mm by 64mm it would be much appreciated.

Never owned anything that's needed things like cases and forks etc polishing. What's the form on getting a good finish, send them off to a pro, buy an Ebay polishing kit for my bench grinder or hours spent with Solvol Autosol? .....or easy clean ali' coloured powder coating...my local powder coaters do a very good fake ali finish.

What type of engine oil should i use for my Cagiva DG350 twinshock. 1983. Does any one have a clue as to the oil capacity. Thanks in advance. Have some 10/40 Castrol, would this be ok.

I'm planning a C15 trials bike and thinking of ditching the alternator and just using a battery. This will also allow me to re-work the LHS cover and reduce width and a bit of weight. - What type of battery do people use ? - Is anything else needed beside standard coil, condenser, and points ? - Has anybody tried this with Boyer-Bransden ? - What amp/hour rating is best? - 6v or 12v. - How many hours trialling do you get before a recharge is needed ?

I recently got a couple of 348 monts. This one is registered 1980. I've not found an original pic of 1 1980, if it is a '80 348 even. Chassis looks like a 349, but what do I know! Chassis no: 51M17604. Its got a Mikuni carb too. Was that standard in those days? And some sort of air forks. So, knowledgeable twinshock gurus - is this a last 348 or some sort of mongrel? I've also got a 1977 Rathmell replica in similar, but slightly worse condition. It's mot'd & was taxed. I'm probably going to sell that once I've given it a look over.

Hello, Hope someone can help me out with a tech problem, I have a 1978 TY250 which starts from cold ok the bike will run for 30 seconds or so then starts to die as if petrol not getting through then stops and wont restart for an hour or two when the pattern is repeated. I have a good spark, petrol is getting into the carb, i have cleaned the carb and blown out all the jets, Any ideas ? Cheers, Frankie,

I have managed to get a look at a Cota 349 tha was given to me & was surprised to see a grey frame, red tank & red mudguards - The paintwork looks original - frame/enginenumber is 51M26351 Bike is tatty but all there! It has been standing for years- front shocks are sticking, back shocks may be leaking, motor kicks over with a very healthy compression. When I get it my plan is to check it over give it a thorough service, chec all the brakes bearings etc. & then take it to a trials My questions - Is the grey frame an original colour? - What should I check/clean service before I try to start her - Where can I get decent brake shoes - so she stops in th…

I picked up a totally original KT250 last Friday, something I didn't know still existed. With all of the TV shows where people doing "picking', I thought I'd never find another 100% original bike, ever. The bike was a one owner that was bought in 1977 from a shop in Effingham, Illinois. Bike has 2081 miles and has been stored for many years. Of course the tires are shot as well as the chain / sprockets. Plastic decent enough. Tank very nice with one small dent near left knee area. Has lights. Seat good. Piston was stuck, however. After a days soaking with PB Blaster, the piston freed and cycles nicely. Bore shows minimal wear and is stock size. I'm thi…

I rode my 325 beamish in the last round of the Euro cup yesterday. Quite fun but it is very "tired" to coin a phrase. That means, no poke! I now have a used std barrel with slight scoring and a new 0,25mm oversize piston (Thanks Robin!) Just need to visit the boring shop! Now my question: The barrel has a ca. 6mm hole drilled in it about 10mm above the exhaust port windows. Is this normal? Constructive answers only please Greeves! Lee

I am looking for some pictures, preferably colour for a friend of mine in France to finish off a Gollner Kawa. Also is anyone currently using one in twinshock trials and can they tell me what rear shocks you are using. Thanks
