Hi guys. Over at my russian bike forum an American user has posted some pics of his latest toy. Its a Rokon 2WD bike. It is fitted with an Albion 3 speed gearbox. Now apparently these boxes are as rare as rocking horse poo over in the States. Can anyone supply me with a list of which bikes had these boxes fitted and any sources for spares. Cheers

Many British bikes fitted with the Amal carburettor use a round screw on air filter which usually has either a paper or gauze filter element. Which type is best though, some of the gauze ones look rather poor (you can see straight through them) the paper ones I suppose may get wet when it rains via the holes in the metal outer so which type is the better option?

I have a bantam frame. The frame number starts BD25**** but its very faint, I’m not sure of the year or type (think it’s a D7) I’m in the process of fitting a C15 engine, how hard would it be to get a V5 for this frame / Bike?

Hi, Originally posted this in the SSDT forum, but I reckon this is where I should have. My brother and I are currently trying to sort out a load of bikes and parts that our parents collected over the years. We've done a bit of digging into a DOT we have and the info suggests it's 1961 works trials rep that was shipped up to Duncan's in Brechin for John Noble to ride in the SSDT. Would anyone on here have access to start lists/results from the early 60s to see if that could be true? Very grateful for any info or help. Thanks in advance Ian In case anyone is interested, here's a (somewhat blurry) pic!

Anyone seen the regs for this trial yet? I thought the regs for the PJ1 rounds usually appeared on the Poachers website but they don't seem to be keeping the Northern Bike section up to date this year and there's nothing on the South Liverpool site

well back from another great weekend and there is much to debate although not the topics most anticipated. the bbc weather forecast through the preceeding week was predicting rain all thursday/friday even the evening tv forecasts had graphic descriptions of the heavy rain/ windy conditions from very early in the week. travelling up on wednesday EVERY diigital traffic notice on the m74/8 had a simple message '' heavy rain forecast for friday throughout scotland'' thursday dawned damp and as we set off on the run rain gear went straight on . the rain continued for the entire day/ evening/night . i wouldnt describe it as heavy just persistant. friday had the rain fallin…

Hi, I've been riding twin shock since they were all there were, and more recently modern pogo sticks. I have decided that I need to get the cub I have squirreled away up and running. I know of companies such as Armac and upb, but names like Allan Witton and Max Heyes, Ray Small etc etc, keep cropping up here and there. Is there a place that I am missing? Where I can get contact details for these sort of people? Cheers Trev.

The questions keep coming in :-) If when the engine is running the valve lifter lever on the rocker box moves, does it mean that I need to clearance between the lifter and valve? Or to put it another way, when the engine is running should the valve lifter lever on the rocker box move? Thanks

Im needing to put a bantam engine together and i have some questions to help me just in the right direction, this is not a open cheque book build so no stupid suggestions but i have a set of 175 crank cases, a 175 barrel and piston, a 125 (i think) complete bottom end with a loose 125 head and barrel/ I was hoping the 125 bottom end internals would fit into the 175 crank cases so i can make it a 175 using the 175 barrel and reboring it to suit the TS175 piston that seems popular, my questions are will this work, is there any other mods to consider and im told i can use a montesa 200 head (as i dont have a 175 BSA one), is this a striaght swap? Whats the main advantage o…

So, the bike is finished and we're nearly there, but I think I've got an issue with the oil feeds, I have a Morgo pump and the oil is pumping round really well, a good flow is being returned. The problem is that I see no oil getting to the rockers. I took the rocker feed pipes off which are feed from the frame just beneath the down pipe (I think I have a Jackson frame, you fill it from the side not the top tube). I put some thin wire down this hole and could see through the hole which returns the oil. So I put my finger over the hole that returns the oil, turned it over by hand, and oil shot out of the hole that feeds the rockers. So any ideas what's gone wrong, shoul…
