Okay, a thought with some questions associated with it! How many righties to lefties are riding trials? Do the lefties have trouble with the right hand throttle? What would happen if we installed a quad/four wheeler type thumb throttle to a trials bike? Would this be nuts or start a trend? Things that make you go mmmmm....

This guy claims he promotes the sport and won't even broadcast his mega indoor event that has been on the makes for months! Probably gonna hurt a lot of feeling here but that's just fine! As a trials fan, I feel sad that one of the biggest names in our sport, does so little to promote the sport that gave him everything he has! No excuses, we live in a digital world of facebook live, tiktok and etc... If the dude that has all sorts of connections can't figure out how to hire a company to live cast a small motorcycle event, He is either super incompetent or he is only in for his personal gain! I said it once and will say again: He is as phony as his wheelie record!! R…

Well I got to try the new Montesa today, seen all sorts of posts about the bike on here from people who had seen it, or so and so had told them about it, not very many from people who own one and there must be a few about now, in fact I wondered why more new owners hadn't posted about the bike, could there be something wrong ?? Firstly I am a Sherco dealer and have a new sherco 4rt on order when they become available, so my test ride was for nothing more than to see what the new generation of fourstroke trials bikes are going to be like, it would be easy to try and pick faults and say well it's ok but I think I'll wait for the Sherco's to come out, truth is I couldn't pi…

To all Trials Masters out there - When you set up an amature trials event, how many points would you expect the winner of each class have at the end of a one day event? How many points would you expect the 3rd place rider to have? How many sections would be set up for each class? How many loops would be ridden? How many hours allowed in the event? Thanks! Dave

Went to get my back tyre turned this morning and was told its directional and the fitter was adamant I'd get no grip if it was turned as it had a direction arrow on it. Anyone had this before?

Now before I start I this is not critical of the riders or the club, but as reported the Bullock brothers were not able to ride because the entries were closed? Shirty's point is valid in the troubled times of BTC competition you would have thought the effort put in by the club to run the event they would want as many riders as possible? On the flip side I can support the club in their decision to not accept the riders as stated they missed the closing date? Both arguements are valid, but which is right? Some trials have to have closing dates the SSDT and Scott to name but 2 as they are over subscribed and have to go to ballot? some clubs would accept a late entry, but…

Check this out! http://www.pistonheads.tv/clip1471 I was there the day that he did this, but didn't catch the action. The stuff in that house is worth squillions - I don't even feel particularly comfortable just walking through the place, let alone riding . . .

This just released via the assasisted press: World Moto Trials competetor Adam Raga shocks the world by signing a 5 year contract with the comback company of the century OSSA motors for a reported $1,500 a year. In a recent interview Raga stated: "I am very excited over OSSA's new 4 stroke motor. This is the first trials motorbike that doesn't weigh more than me and has more power than I will ever be able to use. Best part of my new deal is that I don't have to hear about the crazy Amercian, Ringo, making fun of my motorbike everytime he comes to dinner. Infact I had to kick him out of my country last year for being so doggone obnoxious" OSSA's research and des…

The recent thread about the new Vertigo machine and the lack of real innovation in trials machines has led me to think of some ideas that would be pretty cool to overcome some of the issues I know about riding a machine. One of the biggest problems of all time is braking. The latest disc brake technology is the best on offer at the moment and obviously, a big step up from Drum brakes but there are still some major issues:- Disc brake contamination Exposure to damage Lack of consistent control particularly when wet Pad wear and regular maintenance needed I have been toying with a concept and wanted to put it past the very knowledgeable people here to see if this is…

I'm considering a new helmet. I currently have a Hebo Jeroni replica. It is comfortable but very hot even in winter weather. I'm considering a Shiro vented helmet or maybe an NZI. The problem with the NZI is that it doesn't fit my head that well and would require some carving on a brand new helmet. Other choices are the On Off carbon hemet or the Shoei helmet. Neither are vented but may be better than what I have. Anyone with any experience with these helmaets? Thanks!!

It was the announcement that Dabs was not riding the SSDT that prompted me to think about this. I started off road riding on old bangers that we had to get along the roads (at risk of prosecution) to get to where we could ride them. I had been to motorcycle events (MX grasstrack and road racing) from about the age of 3 and read MCN and MCW and MCM about as soon as I could read but despite reading about trials and watching the Scott had no interest about taking part when I bought my first trials bike. The reason I bought it was to get along the road to my off road areas legally. It was only after some time and because of someone I got mechanical help from (who already…
