Has anyone bought any of the kit pro parts for a TL125, from BPS-eng in France, or got any experience of them? I've seen them on the web and the mods look good, but don't know if they're even still trading. Want to renovate an old TL without being able to stretch to an SM high boy frame and accessories. Cheers.

I am struggling to find the time needed to maintain my cub, i am thinking of getting either a TLR200 or better still a 250 instead. Any tips recommendations on what to look for would be greatly appreciated.

Back to my RTL now!! I've just stripped down the head because it was getting quite noisy, especially when I compared it to another RTL. There is quite a bit of movement in the cam at the sprocket end, where it runs in the head. I remember reading somewhere about a mod putting in bearing or bushes on this end of the TLR / RTL cam, but I can find any posts anywhere. Anyone know more about it and where I can get it done? Cheers

I have a late tlr 200 with a cdi ignition cannot see anyway of resetting the timing, can it be altered or is it factory set. The reason i would like to alter it is that it kicks back a lot when I'm starting it and i can only assume the ignition timing is out?, the decompressor unit is working fine and i cannot find any other faults, any suggestion would help. Thanks Mike.

t Ive bought this Honda Tl 125 k2 1974 in bits, the engines all assembled I can only run the bike with a 6v battery connected to the positive side of the ht coil , when i try and connect the wire from the generator into the circuit there is no ht spark, with the engine running from a 6v supply battery i measure the output voltage from the generator which I believe should be ac it only reads 2 volts, as i thought there was a fault with the coil windings I bought a new set , when i came to refit the new ones i still only get 2 volts reading. Any suggestions? Cheers Ash

Hi Tel, I've bought a tl125s 1976 (miller highboy(mk1). My carb is pretty knackered and was wondering if those carbs on ebay from china are any good and if they're correct venturi and jet sizes? They're are about £30 plus import charges -(no idea how much this would cost in total I live in England, There is another carb advertised on ebay from a dealer but it states a 1988 tl125 with a 18mm venturi my one seems to measure 21.5mm with the verniers. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

It looks like I am in need of a carb rebuild kit for the Reflex. What's the best source for a kit that includes the rubber O rings that seal against the intake as well as the bowl gasket? Thanks! Brian

This carb mod kit for the TLR200 is probably no longer available from Honda as I bought the second to last one earlier this year. (see my earlier posting on Going for the Brown) I spotted this one today on Ebay in case anyone is interested. http://cgi.ebay.com/NOS-HONDA-TLR200-JET-N...=item2a097a06aa

Hi all, can anybody diagnose an idling problem for me? I have an 84 200tlr to which I have recently fitted a copy carb. The carb was fitted to cure idling probs, but it has only partially done so. Above idling it runs OK, but often when closing the throttle, the revs don't die down properly. Also, occasionally when left idling the revs increase on their own.It seems to me like an air leak, but after doing all the usual checks/tests, I am ruling that out. The carb has been set up to the best of my ability using the jets out of the original carb, as there were no markings on the jets from the new carb. Any ideas greatly appreciated, Dave PS its not a Reflex.

I just receive from Japan my last (but not least?) RTL250S. This one with disc brakes. The 85-87 RTL with drumbrakes like the TLR200/250 are fitted with the 22mm carburetor from the early CB100. The other 88 RTL250S I have here has the same model in 24mm. But this bike came with a different carburetor KEIHIN type 63A YG which seems to be original. What is nice is the starter on the right hand side easy to handle. The frame number is RTL250SF-8810021 (matching engine) so must be older than the other RTL n

I am about to embark on a complete rebuild of a TL125s 124cc 1976- model. One of the many things required is a new carb body as the flange on mine has cracked (this seems to be a common problem). Can anyone advise on the availability of a suitable carb and whether one from another Honda single will fit should I have difficulty obtaining the TL one. Thanks in advance. I have a feeling I will be posting a lot on this forum D

I had a problem with the carb overflowing on my RS200 same carb fitted to most TLR's it p****d out all the time and the bike was running very rich Problem solved on close inspection of the stripped down item i noticed a weeping of petol from one of the brass float chambers on even Further inspection the chamber had rotted!! a series of minute pin holes had caused the vessel to fill with fuel and this obviosly would not allow the float to rise in the float bowl and stop the fuel entering. I hope this info may help other riders

I came across a clean CB100N motor and bought it. I was wondering if this motor can be enlarged; sharing the same stroke as a 125. Otherwise are there any useful mods I can do with this motor? It came without it's carb or induction spacer, traf.

I have been asked by a couple of people about getting a CDI repaired, one for a TLR200 Reflex and the other for a TLR250. Does anyone know of a repairer? A supplementarty question: is there any other CJI readily available that will fit or can be converted? I am sure somoeon out there has had this problem before!
