Hello all, I'm a 41 yr. old trials newb that just picked up a 2005 Montesa 4RT Repsol. I'm coming from a couple years of trail riding in AZ and CO. My house is on a 10 acre lot that I am beginning to add obstacles to. If anybody in the area wants to assist in building the track (and ride of course), let me now! I don't work so I plan on being on the bike a lot - even this winter. In the meantime I will be practicing my ass off (day/night/snow/whatever)! James

I posted this question im my local forum (AMA d-6) which gets very little traffic. I thought I would reach out to you guys for some advice...I plan to ride the PA and TN nationals this year and I'm not sure which class to sign up for. This will be my second year in trials and I ride the intermediate line at d-6 events. How do the NATC sportsman and support sections compare to the d-6 intermediate line? I

I have just received a DVD from Noel (Pat’s Dad) showing the skill and virtues of his trials prodigy son Pat. I didn’t know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. He has definitely got talent and could certainly hold his own on the European & World stage (A Class). In my humble opinion, you have got a potential world champ in the lad so if you want one, get behind him, Get him on a 125cc and get him on the European/World stage quick I will get some of the footage on here from the DVD as soon as I can..

The US national series this year tried a format of two three day events as the national championship series, I rode the first three rounds, not well enough to challenge for the tital in my respective class so didn't spend the time or expense on riding the next three round's, I would think more than just I did this. Would one week long championship at a location like TTC be better ? say three days of qualifiers and two days of finals, held in the summer vacation. Would it be a better format ?

I think its time the Trials Community take a stand in the World of Motorcycling and Outlaw 4 Strokes in Competition. The things are really overpriced nightmares created by government regulation rather than common sense. And add Fuel Injection into the Ban also!!!

I hadn't been in the garage for a while until yesterday, and when I went out there, my girl's 1.25 Sherco wasn't there. As far as I know, it's the only 1.25 Sherco in SE Michigan, so if anyone spots one anywhere near the Detroit metro area please E-mail me at randy.arndt AT gm.com so I can get the police to investigate.

The event began just a short time ago. Here's section 1. Pat took a clean, as did most riders. A shuttle is needed to get out by the sea-side sections. That doesn't leave until 11 AM. It's cold and very windy today.

Alan, loved your questions about my positions on the 125cc national championship. Thanks for asking them! Please ask me some more so I can clear up any other misconceptions about what my positions are. You also mentioned we agree on some things! What are they? My main two guiding principles are this in a nutshell. Excellence and honesty for myself, the sport , the organizers, officals, manufacturers, importers and our best riders and national teams.! I'm sorry if it appeared that I didn't answer questions, that was never my intension. Simply bad writing and reading skills.

Peter Arnold and his awesome wife have arrived in the US from Australia. They arrived around the 4th of July in LA (southern CA), bought a motor home and are traveling the USA. They stopped by for dinner in the boon docks of Boulder Creek. They are then headed to San Francisco, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe and then North to Canada. Dont worry I already warned them about Ishy and Fracey. If in Texas told them to stay the hell away from Copey . From there I have no idea where they are heading. It was a real joy spending the evening with a Trials rider from Australia. Hearing how they run things and people in their club. I hope you get a chance to meet them. Hopefully they can …

Where is the best place to stay for the world round? It looks like things close to the TTC are full. Where in Chattanooga is a good place to stay? Or is there someplace else close that would have decent rooms. Thanks for the help

In a discussion elsewhere on here, we are speaking of the various class names that are used, and hopefully working towards some standardisation. Some people feel it is important, and some not but no matter which side you are on, most folks should be able to give their take on this related, but slightly seperate subject. What in your opinion, put into words, makes a rider an "Advanced" class rider. The basis of my opinion is found here in the STRA rules section 3 http://setrialsriders.org/STRA_Rules/STRA%...book%202005.pdf Unfortunately though, it basicly say's someone that can ride a National Support line. I would like to put something more into words, that someone …

Hi, A friend and I are taking the week from Dec 21 through Dec 28 off to go riding and will be putting our bikes on a trailer, leaving from Minnesota (BRRR) heading south to a more comfortable location. We have plans to go to the TTC in TN. Not knowing what the weather will be in advance and TTC's cancellation policy, I am looking for back up plans to go riding. We may have to scratch our TTC plans to keep some flexibility for winter travel (really sucks trying to plan anything in Minnesota in December). I was really looking forward to getting some instruction as I have not ridden a trials bike since about 1978 (the Sherco 2.9 I just purchased will either delight …
