I have heard of Cody Webb and Patrick Smage, they are on Sherco right? Cody is 17? Patrick 14? Is there any Gas Gas riders coming through or any others we haven't heard of yet?

Its funny, I sometimes get the erge to ride MX again, I always enjoyed the sport a lot! So, I'm browsing threw results and see riders from the time period of when I competed in MX, I'm thinking Wow, these guys are still at it! Then today I read where a 40's yr old guy I was friends with back then broke his hip over the weekend. Needs a hip replacment and I would guess at that age dirt biking would be over period! I'll stick to my weird looking machine with no seat!

  11. Due to the fact the US is such a large country, and the increase in cost, and time to travel to the national championship rounds, for those clubs on the west coast, would it not make sense to start a west coast series. Currently the Pacific north west, has a series of two day championship rounds hosted by three US clubs and two Canadian clubs, could this series or one similar be extended to include a couple of Californian clubs to make it a true west coast championship?. The PNTA rounds could still count as PNTA points rounds, but also count for a whole west coast championship. All the events would be located along the I.5 corridor stretching from BC Canada to the Mexi…

Hope this get derailed shortly... From : Racer X website Proposed 100% Tax on European Motorcycles: AMA fights possible 100 percent tariffs on certain European motorcycles Dec 8 2008 12:15PM The AMA announced today that it has written to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative opposing a plan that could double the cost of some European motorcycles imported into the United States. The plan being considered by U.S. trade officials would impose a 100 percent import duty on more than 100 European goods -- including two engine displacement categories of motorcycles, 51cc to 250cc, and 251cc to 500cc. The federal measure is designed as retaliation to the 27-member…

With the loss of my favorite dealer (Commo) I'm finding it easier, and for the most part cheaper (if I buy enough stuff to cover shipping) to just order on-line from Europe. Anybody else finding this to be the case. I'm all for supporting the local dealer but find it hard to justify when all they do is make a phone call to the same distributer who drop ships it to me.

Cody Webb ( Gas Gas ) Dominated The NY Terrain for two excellent Wins and now leads the USA Championship 4 wins To 2 over Current Champion Pat Smage (sherco) Keith Wineland had a great first loop saturday to emerge as the early leader.. but Webb cranked the volume and rode brilliantly over the next 2 laps to take the Victory.. sat: 1. Webb (GG) 2. Smage ( Sherco) 3. Wineland(GG) 4. Commo(GG) 5. Davis(sherco) Sunday: A much easier day saw all the Top Riders under stress out of the gate.. 9 relatively cleanable sections and 3 Extremely difficult Slippery Climbs.. Webb absolutely dominated these three sections .. with single marks in the first one section 5 .. the…

WOW, a couple of surprises here Weighing In... Dan Brown and Barry Florin conducted an impromptu new-bike "weigh in" at the Trials Training Center during the National Competition. Using out-of-the-box machines from TTC's own stock (with exception of the 4-stroke 140cc Scorpa and the Gas Gas Raga Special, which were provided by the respective importers), each bike was weighed, using accurate digital scales. Before weigh in, each bike was emptied of fuel, but contained tranny fluid and coolant in ready-to-ride form. Weights (LBS.) From Heaviest To Lightest Montesa - 167 (without lights) Beta - 164 (with lights) Scorpa 4-stroke - 163 (without lights) Scorpa 2-…

Apparantly even with the addition of monies from special events and the regular fundraisers there was a Shortfall in sending the Team to the IOM, which for now has to be taken up by the RIDERS! I for one cant imagine that as many clubs and supporters that are in the USA that the riders would have to foot the bill to represent us in the TDN (which they did admirably). Kip Webb is handling the 2008 event but I feel that the trials rider community should come to the Riders aid and help to be able to refund the money they had to put up to ride!!

Just a note to say if you hear someone with a strange accent at a trial in the second half of the year at a trial, it might be me. We are flying into LA on the 4th of July and intend to purchase an RV and drive up the West Coast, then across Canada then back down the East Coast then work our way back to LA. We will be staying until late January 09. I hope to drop into a couple of Trials if I can organize it. If anyone is aware of a good place to purchase an RV in the LA area, or a place to avoid I would appreciate any advice.

Hold on everyone. The result guy is stuck in the middle of somewhere. A propane truck turned over and he has been sitting in traffic all night. The reuslts will be up as soon as possible. Normally the results are up right away year after year. A couple of times they have had short delays. The cell and wireless connection is no good where he has been sitting all night. I dont know all of the details but this all I have.
