Im looking to get my girlfreinds boy a trials bike as hes been showing an interest in my bike. Ive got a tight budget of £500 and the only option for that money as far as i can see is the TY. Dont really want to spend tomuch more until iknow he is properly keen and will pursue it. Will this bike be a good start bike for a 9 year old or will it be to small is my main question? Hes never riden a bike with a clutch before. Hes about a average height for his age but is on the heavy side!!! Any input would be good.

Hi, I am new and have recently purchased a Gas Gas 50 txt boy for my son. The clutch fluid is low and needs topping up the owners manual says "Warning: Use the recommended oil. See quick guide to maintenance, page 8" Problem is no clutch fluid is mentioned on page 8. Is this just ordinary brake/clutch fluid ? Thanks

Hi. I'd like to find my boy a medium wheel 80 but it seems all you get second hand are big wheel versions. My question is can you retro fit a set of medium wheels onto a big wheel bike?

Just been talking to the team out in Morella Spain for the first round of the Euro Youth Champs. Since they arrived on Thursday it has been virtually none stop TORRENTIAL RAIN! The start and paddock are by a river, with half the event the other side of the river, the river is now impassable so half the course has been lost, and the Civil Police have now arrived, and the whole Paddock and all its inhabitants, have to be moved to higher ground due to the risk of the river bursting it banks and flooding the Paddock!!!! The course has now had to be re-done with only five of the original sections remaining. So far a complete disaster for the organisers, who are tearing the…

Just bought my lad an unused 2005 Gasgas Boy TXT 50 (with the later 2006 trouble free generator/engine fitted). He has had a year racing a KTM 50 Auto but now wants a go at trials riding. Having a manual, yet automatic clutch confuses me! And riding it slow seems to require continual opening and shutting the throttle to move forward. And is the clutch lever simply for lifting the front wheel when the revs are up and the centrifugal clutch already engaged? Can anyone with good experience of this bike suggest the best way of riding it, or/and and modifications that are worthwhile making? Any help at all would be very much apreciated. Even bought myself a 2004 Beta Rev3 250 …
