I already had it for a while, but long waiting for parts and a broken CDI unit kept it from running. Now that it's running i am as proud as a monkey with 4 reproduce tools 😀 Hope they will add an extra pre90 class in classic trial.

Hi, I'm sorting out a 1967 500 Triumph twin engine in a B25 type frame. There isn't a lot of room for messing about with the primary chain tensioner at the back of the chaincase. I've seen passing references to fitting a C15/B40 slipper type tensioner in the primary case but can't find any real info on this. Is this a possibility or an old wifes tale??.

Hi, this is my first post here. I currently have a Montesa 242 as the title says & I need to remove the clutch basket so I can modify the gear selector so it will keep the return spring on & stop iyt from slipping of & being stuck in gear. Is there a special tool to compress the clutch or do I have to be inventive in my approach. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers Col.

Hi there,l was wondering if anyone could help me with the optimum port timing in degrees for the Villiers 32a motor for trials, both opening and closing of ports.I am looking also at exhaust header length, is there a formula that may apply? I notice quite long headers in various vids. Thanks.

Found these photos of an MZ trials while looking around on the net. I remember a story from a few years back about an East German rider turning up at the SSDT, just after the Berlin Wall came down, with a home brewed MZ effort....not sure if this is the same one ???? Martin

Well... good start to the year for this series... NOT! Just seen ACU have published "2016 Standing Regulations" for the series on their website (notified by their email too) and then open it up to see it is a copy of the 2015 regs. So, you ask, what is wrong with that? Answer - it is not what the Nene Valley and Colchester Castle clubs appear to have been told about. Nene have three champ classes (as they were instructed) of o40, O50 & O60 + a.n.other non-champ class. Meanwhile, Colchester are running 6 classes inc. Pre65, T/Shock, O40, O50 & O60 plus non-champ. Who is right? Surely ACU should be publishing the right championship standing regs - if so, tel…

HI ALL AFTER REBUILDING MY OSSA 350 TR80 GRIPPER AND AFTER COMPLETING 3 TRIALS I JUST CAN,T SEEM TO GET ANY GRIP AT ALL ON THE REAR .SPEC IS AS FOLLOWS NEW ROCK SHOCKS WITH 80 POUND SPRINGS ( LAID DOWN SHOCKS ) NEW REAR MICHELIN TYRE 5PSI ( HAVE TRIED VARIOUS PRESSURES ) IAM 6,3 AND 17ST AND RIDE EXPERT ROUTE IAM WATCHING OTHERS DO SLIPPY BITS AND I SIT THERE PADDLING IT IS BRILLIANT IN THE DRY JUST NOT WET ANY IDEAS ? im looking at a bike on ebay as i want to get started in pre65 trials,i wondered if any one could tell me if these details are correct. Frame number is C15 33871 which denotes a 1964 model and the engine is C15 SS 3732 which denotes a 1962 sportsman engine. ive had a look on the web but still not sure,any help would be appreciated. thanks Dan

Hi there, can anyone help with what wires go where on bultaco sherpa 350 T 199A. The bike has points and there are 4 wires coming from the ignition casing. red.green.yellow and a black which connects to the coil. I am not planning to have lighting on the bike so i just need some advice as to what I need to connect the wires too. I have a wiring diagram which is unclear. If anyone has any photos they could post up to show how they are connected, that would be great. I got the bike as an unfinished non running project, so dont know if it had any problems with its ignition system. Any advice would be great. Cheers

Hi I am going to replace the clutch on my c15, not sure what with either a alloy one, or maybe a belt driven one. has anyone any experience with the belt drive is it worth the extra £££

What is the best way to find and fit a spark arrestor on a vintage bike? Are there units that work with my existing muffler? I live in Northern California and have a 72 OSSA MAR.

I have bought a new fuel tank, with a screw on aluminium cap. However, it came with no gasket to go between the cap and tank. The original tank has a gasket, which looks like silver card. What material to use to make a disc about 43mm diameter, 3mm thick? Thought about using part of a wellington boot. Ideas? Thanks in anticipation.

Hi, I notice my rear IRC says 'for off road use only'. I have just registered the bike for the road (to hopefully use in Scotland and any other trials with road work). Do I need a Michelin? I seem to remember people using IRC in the Scotland Classic...

Im just wondering if anyone knew of a sprocket manufactuer who could make a one off rear sprocket that would need to be offset by 10 mm ? . this is because ive aquired a very nice Montesa rear wheel (complete with akront rim) that I want to fit in a BSA C15 frame with a B40 engine, problem being the chain alignment, I would need an offset to move the chain run closer to the tyre. im not sure exactly what model of Montesa the wheel is from but I do still have the original sprocket that came with the wheel, although the ally has delaminated and corroded its still usable for providing sizes etc.
