Stolen Bikes

Had your bike stolen? Report it here

  1. My Beta got stolen a while back and I have now replaced it and don't want the same to happen twice. I regulary see on this forum bikes getting stolen. I was wondering what people do as their best line of defence. I have been looking at ground anchors, different types of alarms, chains, locks and even a doberman...... Any suggestions?

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/328677/INF85_240614.pdf This will help get your stolen bike back. If you engrave or hard stamp the Reg No on plenty of parts it makes theft much less likely.

  7. Started by earthmover,

Today I found that the secure lock-up where I keep the bikes that won't fit in my garage, isn't. Sometime over the weekend, my girlfriend's 125 Sherco, and my Honda CRF250x, were stolen. The thieves destroyed a steel security door, and tried to cut the lock off the gate, eventually making their escape by cutting a section of chainlink fence when the lock defeated them. This was from Cuddington, Cheshire, a couple of miles from my house. The Sherco is an '05, and has a few distinguishing features, most obvious being a Kehin carb. The Honda is an '04, registration PN04 PZJ, with a full lighting kit and 40mm bar risers. Any info most gratefully recieved. Mark

Popular Yorkshire centre trials rider Martin Crosswaite had his garage broken into and thieves removed his treasured 150cc Yamaha powered Scorpa four-stroke trials machine yesterday. Martin Crosswaite: “The value of the machine in money terms is very little but to my-self and my father the sentimental value is immense. I rode the machine in the 2003 SSDT and it’s a part of my trials career that means so much to me”. “If any one knows of the whereabouts of the machine please contact me; there is a reward for the recovery of the machine to the family. I can be contacted on: 07974 932904. If you are worried about contacting me and you have the machine please text me a loca…

  9. My garage has been broken into overnight on Tues/Wed 3rd/4th October 2011. My two lads' Betas were stolen! The bikes are a 2004 Rev 50 with a black rear mudguard and a silver number board with the Beta logo, frame number 1000283, Vee Rubber Tyres, and red handlebars, with the yellow Beta bar pad. The second is a 2007 MiniTrial, red, frame number ZEMMF2TC55A100153. The Rear mudguard has been riveted, with a RAS Sport sticker over the rivets. It has/had a small Putoline sticker on each side and a Ras Sport sticker on the Number Board. Both bikes were still muddy from the weekend. They were still strapped to the trailer, but they left that behind. The bikes were take…

Got a phone call from the wife when I got to my work this morning saying the the shed where I keep my bike had been broken into.Luckily for me I have the bike stripped for servicing so they didn't take it,but they used my tools to try to remove the door from my other shed(didn't notice the coach bolts) with little success so tried to lever the roof of my other shed.I live in Whitecraig,East Lothian,so please be aware and make sure your bikes safe. cheers the noo Brian

  15. Morning All. I'm hoping it doesn't come to them being sold on and beyond my finding, however posting here just in case. Last Thursday 11/07 I had my garage broken into and had my 2006 Gas Gas 300 pro and my 7 year old sons Suzuki LT80 quad taken. I have some very identifiable features of both vehicles, however not sure I should post them up on the internet? I Have notified the police and they have added my bike to the PNC register (?) based on frame/engine number. I am checking all of the usual places for selling online, however I have had some info that this may be some local scrotes. The copper who came out to me (an enduro rider), advised me to get the bikes back ho…

My mate had his garage broken into on Weds night, one of four in his street to be turned over. Thieves took a TTR 125 and a 2006 SY 250 Scorpa, they ditched the TTR up the road, probably as they couldnt get it to start without a key but the Scorpa is gone. This guy has only just come back into trials and helped us mark out last weekends event, the bike is not insured. Please contact me if your offered a 2006 model Scorpa this bike has an in line stat between the cylinder head and radiator which is unusual on a scorpa and the sump guard has been drilled by the water pump and clutch cover, it also has a birkett modified water pump and the rear mudguard is cracked.

Team Trials UK's Horne family were broken into last night. Dave Horne and family lost their bikes hours before setting off to the next round of the British Championship in Devon. Please keep a look out for - 2013 Sherco 300 No. VNBS529TRCA025809, Husqy junior motocross, KTM junior motocross, Oset 20" Lite, Oset 16R and an Oset 12". The trials bikes had Trials UK special stickers on but the thieves also took the standard Sherco plastics too so the Sherco may be restored to original before being sold. They destroyed the family's garage to get the bikes and have caused a great deal of costly damage and emotional pain not only for Dave and Michelle but mostly for Dominic, A…
