Anybody know why some people change the master cylinder and hose on the Pro. I've seen quite a few with the bigger master cylinder on with a larger diameter hose and i'm wondering if this would change the clutch action ? cheers

Hi Guys, just got my new bike at the weekend, a 2010 TXT 300 in great nick with no real hard rinding done on it. The problem is this... starting it is a complete pig! it has very high compression as it would have but I can kick it till I am wrecked and not even fire? Then with the same kick later it fires up fine, once running it is brill and so much power : ) But after 40 kicks to start it 3 times is gets very boring, any ideas would be a help. Chris

hello friends.. I'm a long time enduro rider, and fairly new trials rider (1yr ish) and started on a 2006 280 txt pro.. I've upgraded to a 2014 300 factory replica (it's in transit, so haven't ridden it yet, but I briefly test rode the same model before around in a parking lot). So I am a novice rider, 57yrs old, XXL sized, and have competed in two events, and dying to do more, with tons of experience riding, but still learning the finesse it takes for this sport I am wondering if one might recommend whether a flywheel weight, and/or a slow throttle tube would be of use in my learning, both of the sport, and given the increased displacement, and in light of my b…

Hi I am about to buy myself a 2012 Raga. Something to be aware of? What attracts me - besides that it looks da*** well - is Tech forks, AJP clutch and brakes, Reiger shock and.. well thats it I think.. A little surprised that it has a DelOrto not Kehin? -Jan

I think this has been mentioned before. I have a 11 and my current Irc seems to loose pressure if ridden on rocky sections, pressure holds up stood in garage. Are they faulty or do I need to get a Michelin.

What is the difference between a txt and a pro? I am totally new to trials and have recently bought a gasgas 280 which i thought was a txt pro. But reading the posts it looks like these are different bikes. The bike seems spot on but anything would with my standard of riding. Cheers Neil

Hi, Can anyone give any tips for curing clutch drag on a gasgas 80 please? It's a brand new 2015 model which I believe has an identical bottom end of the 125. When my son got it new for Christmas he rode it for about 30 mins total, clutch dragging straight away. After about 3 or 4 minutes ticking over in neutral the clutch lever would no longer pull in! Luckily he never tried to pull it in any harder. At this point I'm thinking why on earth did I buy a gasgas! Anyway I opened the side casing up and found the centre bolt was undone! I removed it and refitted with blue loctite and went to our first trial with it on New Year's Eve which went quite well considering it was…

Hi Guys, As the title says, I was out tonight for a little play and had only been on the bike 5 min, was crossing a field so gave it a little blast and as I slowed down the bike cut out. Tried for ages to get it started but it didn't want to know, so far we checked there was fuel getting into carb, which is clean & not blocked. Then we checked the plug which was a bit wet but looked ok, but wasn't producing a spark when grounded to the head, tried another plug and still nothing. Any ideas what I can look next? Thanks Sparky

Hi all... I've read everything I can on this subject and it sounds like such an easy process... but I just can't do it! My bike is a 2000 Gas Gas TXT 250 with AJP level / master cylinder and Hebo caliper. Being as I'm an idiot I decided to have a look at my brakes and see how they work... First lesson I learned is if you split the caliper, you let loads of air in the system. Ten wally points to me. So, I followed instructions to bleed the brakes and nothing... maybe a little spurt here and there but not the torrent the instructional videos etc online would have me expect... So, I went out a bought a "pressure bleeding kit". I linked the kit up to a tyre at 20 odd psi…

  12. Hi guys I have done abit of research through the forum and keep reading that the 280cc gasser is quite a handful, I am looking to change my 250 Evo soon, My plan was to change to a 300cc Evo Factory but there is also a very tidy 2011 Gas Gas 280 for a good price, which I am considering as an alternative. However I keep reading that the 280's tend to be quite a lively machine, I admit that i do like a lively bike (for a 250 my evo is more lively than alot of 250's I have ridden) also being around the 19st mark the bike does have to work! So I suppose my question is, how do people find there 280's and if they have found them to be really lively has the fitment of a flywhe…

I bought a 2002 GasGas 280 txt pro and ufortunantly couldnt use it more than a couple of days before the spring that resets the gear pedal/lever broke. The sound im talking of came after the first time I opened the side of the bike where the clutch is. I have opened and reassembled the bike about 6-7 times now and tried with and without the new spring. By the way, I have not opened up the bike other than from the side where the clutch is. Does anyone have any suggestions? You can download a clip of the bike and the sound HERE

Hi all I've just had a new piston kit put in because the radiator had worn a hole in its self over a few years (fan) - and had not cooled the engine which ruined the piston;( Any way - they sent the rad off to be mended. (before i sent it to them i had changed the gearbox oil after a trial and not used it since) Got it back last night .and started it up and rode round for a few minutes this morning And the gearbox oil was white after the ride. I am guessing water in the oil? When they took the rad out do you think they could of damaged the water pump /seals? If so its going straight back! Is this cheap to mend? Thanks Ben

I actually managed to have a proper go on the bike at the weekend. Quite a hot day. How quickly would onenormally expect the fan to come on. Some water out of the overflow but i had topped up. No sign if fan. Rode in 5 min bursts. Is it time to read the above fan post? Lol

Hi Folks just got a new 09 280 and I'd like to fit a larger clutch master cylinder and hose which I already have but which is designed for brake fluid not mineral oil. I had thought I would need to change the seals in the clutch case to suit brake fluid but my dealer tells me that they are now coated and will work with either mineral oil or brake fluid. Before I trash the seals in my new bike can anyone confirm this ? MANY THANKS
