Any news about the OSSA explorer in Europe? It wont be in North America until June. Just wondering if its out in Europe now, if any reviews, videos, etc. I have seen the CAD renderings, a few of the photos from the OSSA site, the various magazine articles based on the product literature. I am quite interested in this bike, as it is trials based, very light and they will try to make it street legal in north america. Thanks

Hi all I recently restored a TR77 that I got as a box of bits many years ago. It is now up and running (and road registered too!). When I first rode it, the clutch was SO heavy, and gear changing was very difficult without crashing and clonking them. I thought this was possibly just a clutch problem as it was so heavy. I took the clutch cover off and removed a plate - the outer metal clutch plate - to allow some adjustment, as the springs were already as far out as I could get them. This meant that the outer pressure plate ran on a friction plate (I ensured that it was flat and smooth first), and when I reassembled it all (again with the springs as far out as I…

Can anyone tell me if all the MAR 350 models came with the white/green stripe color scheme or did some come in all green with yellow writing? I thought they were all white but I'm usually wrong.

I need to replace the O rings on the fork caps of my 73 MAR with Betor forks. The measurements seem to be 3mm x 31mm. Here in the USA metric Orings are not locally common. Also, before I order them, I was hoping someone knew the proper size. Thanks

Several members have ask me for help with Mapping/Upgrading issues. I'd be a lot more willing to experiment if I had an "expendable" ECU laying around. It does not necessarily have to be fully functional. I realize this is a long shot, with the small number of bikes built, but I'll put whatever I learn into the public domain.

Hi all Presently restoring a TR77 that has been in bits for 15+ years. The crankcases were painted a silvery colour and I had this all vapour blasted off today. The casings underneath look superb, and the alloy (at this time) shows no signs of corrosion. As they are sand-cast, I assume that the alloy is pretty good quality. Were they painted originally other than on the green TR77's? I'd rather leave the alloy bare if it doesn't corrode. Was there any reason for painting them? I'd appreciate your experiences with unpainted cases Thanks Adrian

Not used the bike for a couple of weeks, when it ran fine. Laid it up while I tended to the rear wheel bearing issue. Fixed that and thought I would just give it a lap or two round the garden. Started on the third kick then coughed and died.......Aha ! No fuel. Topped up with fresh fuel and tried to start but no joy. Took plug out, which was a bit sooty but not wet. After many kicks I got it to fire but it wouldn`t catch and rev. Eventually got it to run but sounded rough and like it was misfiring. It cleaned up a bit when it warmed up but still feels lumpy and won`t tick over. The only other thing that changed was I added 50ml of gear oil to bring it up to 400ml as men…

Hi, My 300 has the factory clutch, been well used and no probs with slipping etc, but i seem to be having to adjust it a lot and cannot get the right release position on lever. Its very slightly draggy, or to close to handlebar to feel correct. I know stack height on friction plates are 9.75 total, but anyone know the finger end height from centre of clutch basket? Regards, Ian

Hi just finishing my tr 77 verde after 16 months of hard work and I am having problems getting the rear mudguard to fit as it looks like it might need to be trimmed around the rear pipe just before the silencer. Is this correct and also dose the silencer sit very close to the tyre. Appreciate it if anyone can cast any light on it. Thanks Martin

As a prospective buyer of the OSSA, I would be really grateful if all you owners could say what you think, is it a good clubmans bike, is it worth the premium over the rest of the 2 strokes and has it been reliable? Thanks

This morning I replaced the clutch plates on my Tr280 for the new upgrade kit from Ossa. The old one was draging a lot even when the bike was at operating temperature. My dealer lent me the tool to align the spring. So I did the replacement this morning. I put oil on the plates when I put them in place, used the align tool and put everything back together. Everything went really easy. I started the bike to try it... when I shift, the bike started to roll. I put the brakes and it stalled. So I start again and let the engine warm for a while, same thing. I can't see whats wrong? Is there a specific side for the release arms?
