  1. While riding, I washed out the front end turning up on a rock face. The bike slipped down and momentarily over revved the motor (as it has done numerous times). I pulled the clutch, picked up the bike and the bike died. I returned down slope and pop started the bike. Returning up hill I noticed the bike had a loss of power and would not idol with clutch fully engaged? Returning straight away to the garage, I noticed the bike was running a bit hot. After a cool down, I topped off the coolant with 100ml/ 3.3oz. (not sure how much it takes to fill from empty). The bike kicks through the same whether in gear or neutral and sounds/ feels like it wants to start. Any ad…

Yesterday I was riding at a local trial event and bike was running fine. And then I was unable to shift in second or neutral, it was stuck in 1rst gear. I didn't drop the bike or crash it on that day. This morning I removed the transmission and I can't see what's wrong. I tried to change the shifter spring adjustment position with no luck. Unlike yesterday, now with the trans out, I can move between 1rst gear and neutral. But can't go up in 2nd gear. Any idea of what can be the problem? I seached on the internet but didn't found anything similar.

Is there anyway to get the front brake to work, or better yet,has anyone had any luck fitting a different front wheel? If so what was it from? It would be nice to fit a TY front wheel.

my 2013 has started to leak oil from the output shaft... i see on the parts list there is a bush with 2 o rings behind it... im guessing if i remove the front sprocket i can then remove the bush and o rings.... but can the actual seal be removed without pulling the gearbox out? thanks

I have a little 'burble' at very small throttle openings I only have ever had if the play was really knackered or the TPS needed reset. (Runs great everywhere else and mixture appears great on the plug- running SSDT Hard map) So I decided it would be a good time to just check everything anyway ((290 hours). Reeds good, new sparking plug Idle right, TPS set to .6V and set to EC Air filter clean Cleaned sensor in lower airbox I did see a little corrosion on the ECU connections (dang it!). Attempting to clean well. That could be my issue. BUT I wanted to test the injector to see what the pattern looked like. When I do the injector test in the software, it just clic…

My 2011 tr280i is an awesome bike. The only negatve thing about it is it's reluctance to start as easily as other brands are. It's a lot better with the 9v kit and the proper mapping and tuning, but it's still not as good as it could be imho. Has anyone ever entertained the idea of putting another base gasket in it to lower compression? (i know it would be a lot of work and another tuning session) The motor has power that a world class rider is capable of using.I don't fill those shoes.

After rebuilding my mk 2, except the engine, I've finally kicked it up!!!! Can't believe it started after the 3rd kick. My only concern is that the clutch isn't working. The lever pulls in but stays there, are the plates stuck or is it something else?? I haven't tried putting it in gear yet as the tank isn't connected yet and it runs out of fuel pretty quick seeing as I'm only filling the carb. The bike has stood for over 3 years but ran lovely before I attacked it!!

Hi everyone, I own my 2014 tri280 over 7 years. I use it only a few hours a year in my backjard. No oil changed or repairs were needed. Untill now. The clutch is starting to give problems: When "clutched" ( i mean brake connection between crank and gears) it starts to drags al little. I have to brake otherwise it will slowly drive away. The point of engagement (? if this is the correct term, im not sure) hasnt changed. When "not clutched" there is no slip at all. (sorry about bad english, i try) So before taking everything apart I read as much as possible. Found ossa-efi.com. Thanks a lot Konrad for your work. I found stuff reg…

Hi just acquired a 2012 ossa tr280i but I have a couple of problems with it , firstly the linkage is showing signs of play ,looks like its coming from the centre bolt on the rocker , where can I buy new bushes and pins , also rear silencer is cracked badly so looks like I need to get that welded , but I'm guessing it will eventually fall apart again . also the rear wheel bearings are shot , does anybody know what size bearing they are ,? thanks in advance.

  18. My ossa runs fine on trial and enduro sections but overheats on any short road sections ? Fan seems to be working and head seems ok ? Any ideas ?

Would appreciate assistance from anyone who has fitted a Mikuni VM26 to a 250 Ossa Gripper. Have tried a number of main & pilot jets, needle sizes etc without real success in getting the bike to run right.
