why do they need to reduce thier prices? they build them and we keep buying them. supply and demand. if there was a market for "club" bikes, a heavier less spec'd budget bike, would you buy one? i think not. because the bloke your competing against will buy the best that money can buy and beat you on sunday, then guess what, out you go and spend the money that you should have spent in the first place to get on equal machinery terms. Do i think bikes are too expensive? you bet your a*** i do, but that wont stop me spending!

so your bike is a "runaway"......have you tried puting a picture of it on a lost poster and stick them to a few lamposts? sounds like your having fun with the bike. if the key sheared and the timing advanced it would cause the bike to runaway like that, its surprising how little fuel will make a bike rev in the right conditions.

you wont go far wrong with an 06 Beta rev3 250. buy on condition though, better a good 05 than a poor 06

where do you ride? if its not private land with the owners permission there are real issues with cleaning your bike at a venue. its bad enough trying to find land to ride at without leaving a big pile of wet sloppy mud on some public footpath. Take it to the local ASDA, leave them with it instead.

i really like using the TMX website and seeing what trials i missed the previous weekend. why cant they update it before the events? and no, i wont buy it because i am not interested in who can triple loop an RMX250. if i wanted to go that high in the air i would buy a microlight.

yes no problem, done loads. take the rad off and i usually remove the frame side rails, its easier to work on. take the head off first, then remove the barrel with the piston at Bottom dead center. what job are you doing?

80ml of oil to 5lt of fuel. just buy a cheap (£1) measuring jug from the supermarket, and 5lts measured at the pump, its not an exact science. suspension, just ride for a bit and make sure its not bottoming out anywhere. welcome to trials, keep trying , you will love it.
