not much point doing your sump guard if you ask me place that gets most of the hammer ....they do come up nice and clean and shiny if you clean them up well and polish them..

Photoshop is quite complicated to explain to someone how to use especially if you dont know how to use them program...
You wouldnt damage it just borrow it to ride around on dont try out to drastic that you know you cant do all the time then you will see what its like to ride and if you would want it.
Everyone says the same mines never let me down yet as long as you stay sort of on top of them maintenence wise then alls fine with them and only thing that usually goes wrong with them is things that can go wrong on any make of bike.
Id go for the Renthal chains last twice as long as any other and dont really stretch much quite a lot of the iris chains have been snapping around this area after a couple of rides...

From what iv been on the 290 is pretty powerful especially for a fairly smallish guy i would have said lots of pull nearly pulled my arms off and that was with a slow action throttle although they are probably tamed with things like flywheel weights if you can get them not too sure about the 250 though.
You pic a bike to suit your riding style not someone elses plus these bikes are not out yet so you wouldnt be able to tell and this might just end up being a slagging match of which bike is best especially with the younger members that think the bike they ride is the best for anyone.

I had a tr34 i thought mine was a great 1st bike for me anyway to start on tad of a big bike like couldnt do much but at that price id expect it to be nearly new go with what these guys say and get like a techno or gas gas contact think it was around that year.
You shouldnt have to wait for the oil to settle and the amount will be in the manual if you have it as you say think its like 550ml unless its a little less for the 125s , bit that i find the hardest is getting every bit of oil out especially if its maybe got a bit of water in like mine it just wrecks the next lot of oil you put in.
Yep seal it up better safe than sorry and seal up the drain hole cos usually its mud that gets it and doesnt drain back out anyway not sure what to use cant remember whats on mine think its a proper flap.
