  1. Beta p/n 2915809 000 this is the best fuel line.
  2. You may be able to get away with just cleaning the front brake caliper. Remember that the only things to clean the square section o-rings and pistons are fairy liquid with water ( cold ) and/or brake fluid. Be careful not to lose the wee o-ring between the two caliper halves. You will need to take care that the square section o-rings are seated properly in the caliper before re-installing the pistons and be careful you put the pistons back in true to the caliper bore. GOOD LUCK.

Beta do not have any part numbers that start 26_______ . What is the p/n of the part you are replacing ?
  4. Call Stephen Fotheringham , he is well connected with the trials scene in Quebec.

    03 Gas Gas 280

I thought this model had a VHST 28mm flat slide carb.
  6. Same size since 2002 to 2016 , to the best of my memory.
  7. This is not normal, my best guess is that there is something wrong with the neutral detent mechanism.
  8. Is this situation happening with the bike running ? If it happens when the bike is not running then this is not normal. If it is happening when the bike is running, this is common for a lot of bikes regardless of brand. You will find it may be easier to find neutral if the clutch lever is pulled all the way to the handlebar when you try to select neutral.
  9. The bolt pattern used to mount most of the front brake calipers is the same whether they be 2 piston or 4 piston.
  10. 12 volt 3 or 4 watt BA9S OSRAM number 3893
  11. The mixture screw should be between 1 turn out and 2.5 turns out. Your fuel oil mix is somewhere close @ 1.5% ( 66.67 to 1 ) A lot of people have good results @ 1.25% oil to fuel mix ( 80 to 1 )
  12. Older bikes that have not had their exhaust repacked can have this problem. The exhaust packing gets oil soaked and loses both it's sound suppression quality but also it's thermal quality. I believe on this model Sherco that the exhaust was not made to be easily repacked. It is possible to cut the exhaust open and repack but it is a messy job. Good luck.
  13. I believe the airbox changed for 1999.
  14. Coolant : Motul Factory Line Motocool Organic + There are lots of good 2 stroke oils and gearbox oils, use good ones.
  15. It may help if you let the forum know exactly where on the tank it is leaking.
  16. Beta has a kit to fix this p/n 007450578 000
  17. Get yourself Beta p/n 1241757 800 then you could adjust w/o the screwdriver and not burn yourself either.
  18. This is an adjustment for where on the cam part of the shaft the rod gets pushed, it will change the engagement length of the clutch.
  19. I think what you really need to look at the the input specifications of the charger that came with your bike.
  20. You said that several plugs were tried, were they new spark plugs ? Try again with a new plug gapped to approx. 0.40mm If there is no spark then try the easy things first, wiring connections, spark plug cap and re-check all chassis and engine grounds with a meter. Good luck.

    Rotax 280 Squish

Check out the 2 stroke tuners handbook by Gordon Jennings. I think 1.35mm to 1.5 mm would be a good target.
  22. The first thing( cheapest tp try ) I would do is put in a new NGK plug gapped @ 0.45mm this smaller gap will lessen the load on the ignition.Maybe check your chassis earth this will only take a couple of minutes to clean up. If that does not work I think the next easiest thing to try is swapping out the HT coil / cdi box.
  23. I think the wipers from SKF KIT35M will work. You could also try Gas Gas p/n G280000 and maybe Fantic p/n 364.02.00.5390 Good luck and please post what worked.
