  2. Anyone know, or got a good picture showing the angle of the rear brake hose where it leaves the rear master? On an 06 Pro. Been replacing the piston/spring/seal and have set it about 90 degrees but doesn't look just right to me. I'm thinking it needs about 10-15 degrees more down toward the swinging arm, but then it seems to rub the shock spring. Any ideas?
  3. Maybe its a carbon silencer ?

    Upgrading My 315

Only additional one that might be worth a try is to change the 'S' shape pipe inside the silencer to a straight pipe. If you get hold of some punched out sheet, then you can make this up for a couple of quid.
  5. I think Alan Whitton is the source of the alloy hubs. I can confirm that they are superb quality.

    Exhaust Paint

Have you entered the classic jag in the Colonial then ?
  7. Err.. what's Tone got on his head ? Did he forget his kit for the photo shoot and had to borrow his mums scooter lid
  8. Providing its from a post 2001 315, its straight in same spacers, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. 36 spokes and 6 hole sprocket doesn't make any difference apart from being a bit stronger.
  9. You could go down the complete 'fiddle' route of using TY Mono forks with a bit of machining here and there - I figured that the rest of the bike is trick, why should the forks be any different This previous post on the Macdonald frame might be of interest, good pics of a heavily modded, highly competitive cub. http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/index....=3632&st=15
  10. Anyone know how long the actuator pin should be in the Mineral Clutch Master Cylinder on a 06 bike. The pin I had fitted is 20mm, and the clutch drags a bit. Swapped it today with the Front brake pin which comes in at 22.25mm, seems to give more throw and releases the clutch much better. Just want to check that the longer pin isn't 'over driving' the piston in the master and going to cause me a problem later?
  11. I seem to remember going to the Lyme Regis round, en-route to the Lyn Traders. There were a few Fantic 'Young Men' riding in addition to those pictured, Nibs Kellet and Rob Smith to name but two. Arena Trial, followed by your average night in Lynton on the ale, Lyn Traders National (road trial), a better than average night in Lynton on the ale, thrashing Carthorse and JR at pool, Lyn Club trial to clear the head and a long drive home - it's what weekends were made for. That might even have been the same year that Orson and the boys put on an Indoor Trial, trouble is it was in the hotel No photos to protect the guilty and the innocent.
  12. This may sound a bit odd, but have you checked you have an idle jet ? I had the same symptoms couldn't figure it out, spend hours lifting the head checking timing etc etc and then I thought I blow out the card and hey presto I was missing a jet. Unlikely, but worth the 2 mins it takes to check. From memory I have a 35 idle in.
  13. Insurance Job? He's had the van a while and the ashtrays were full.
  14. Tried it got nowhere Even more difficult to communicate with the French than the Italians, and never got anywhere with getting bits from Italy either. Japan is the easiest as I have a mate that travels their nearly every month and he gets one of the adminstrators to do the phoning and ordering.

    Mp Forks

I think that you can still buy them new, try here: http://www.greevesmotorcyclesltd.com/parts2.html#forks
  16. Don't get too excited I have looked at this nice kit before, but as far as I know its not available for sale as yet.
  17. Back on track, there's one on eBay just started today (23/11) at 17:00, nowt to do with me. Will be interested to see who bids on it and how much it goes for.
  18. I got in there late 70s early 80s. Used to drop in on my Garelli Tiger Cross for a lap or two on the way home from school and work. Would have been up there on a Beamish and later on Fantics. Seem to remember the trials lads in Holmer Green looking to buy it, but thought that was the left side of the road as you head toward Little Kingshill.

    Repsol 06

I had the Master and the Mitani Clutch pack on my old 05 RT. I have to say that the Mitani pack and decent oil makes the biggest difference. If he clutch pack is to wide and drags it doesn't matter what master you put on its going to do the same. IMHO I don't think you get any more travel out of the bigger master, it just makes the clutch action smoother. If drag is the problem then the clutch has to disengage more cleanly, so you have the steels spinning freely within the friction plates - the Mitani pack has various thickness of friction plate and for whatever reason this works better than the standard set up. I heard that 06 had a change of friction material (its a different part #), but having ridden an 06, I had a better set up. I notice you have an 06 Repsol - this means an 05 clutch if I'm not mistaken.
  20. The very same - not too young to remember, now getting too old! A few rounds of the Saturday evening T&O events were held down at Hedgerley Park, near Gerrards Cross, keep seeing it from the M40 just north of the M25 junction - from what I remember it wasn't a bad bit of land. SSTC seemed to have the most use of it at the time, I think it was the Farnham Royal lads that managed to get the odd date there. Can't work out what its used for now - no trials or MX there for sometime. Was the Bultaco before or after Geoff's Beamish days ? Like I said getting too old to remember it all clearly.
  21. Gone but not forgotten. Sold all the Bikes of the time, Ossa, Bultaco, Montesa, Italjet, etc. Trials, MotoX, Grasstrack. Supported lots of riders in Southern and South Midlands Centres. The legendary stunt man 'Windmill Wood' worked in the workshop, the showroom and track tested your bike after it was in for any work - 'It will be ready on Monday!' Windsor shop closed down and the business moved to Sid Morams in Slough alongside the roadbikes. Eventually it became no more.
  22. Split the airbox and seal the joints properly with RTV sealant. Should have been done at PDI. Once you have done it - just maintain as normal. No need to buy a Beta. Worst case if you have damaged the bottom half of the air box it will cost you
  23. I recently bought a D50 and now I have set the picture quality to fine and bought some decent memory cards I'm really pleased with it. I still have my Fuji Finepix as backup, but to be honest the D50s done it all with much better quality results. Only thing I realised after this weekend is that you do need an additional flash to the integrated 'fill in' unit as shots under trees can be dark and my podium shots were disappointing.
  24. M5 Cap head with a nyloc nut works pretty well
