    GG UK riders

No idea but they are listing them for sale so I had assumed they were/would be available. I would be holding out for the new model if I was trading in.
  2. I think you could enter whatever route / class you wanted (except Twinshock / Pre65 if you arent on a suitable bike). It may be for a no award particularly if it was an Expert riding the White route. I would suggest unless you are graded, everyone is a clubman, ride what you want.

They are 2019 Models at £6000 each. Do GasGas have UK models and Euro models (Like Beta do?) if yes then these will be different from UK supplied ones. 2020 Models from a dealer £6300ish So £300 less to have last years model and if you traded it in next year it would be worth less as it's the 2019 model..
  4. 428 Chain (listed in the parts book as 1/2 5/16 which is the Pitch and inner width of a 428 chain) As for length depends on what sprockets are on the bike if you have changed from standard gearing. One website lists it as standard gearing would have 118 links, the parts book seems to suggests 114.. I would buy longer than either and then cut the chain to length. The price of a 118 to 124 link has £2 difference and then you know you have enough chain!
  5. Check the tank breather is free, you can do this quickly by loosening the cap and seeing if the bike runs OK. If it does the breather is likely blocked.
  6. Levers are certainly. My OE ones snapped, the Jitsie ones bend. Mostly its about the bling factor. See also S3, CSP, Apico.

    Sherco

Sounds like the gearbox selectors are not in the right place / the shift drum is wrong. Probably the only way to fix will be to strip the motor again.
  8. SplatShop (Sherco parts specialist) list the shifter fitting all years, one of the aftermarket levers apparently needs a small section filed off to clear cases on 2011 onwards models.
  9. Strip the caliper again and measure the seals. Quick google found a seal supplier might have the ones you need.

  11. Don't forget in the UK you can get the 300 SS model which is "Super Smooth" as well as the normal full on 300.
  12. Sounds like you need a motorcross / enduro bike rather than a trials bike for this particular task. Ignore for a minute finding the cylinder to fit, the gearing of the engine will be all wrong and there is only so much you can do with sprocket swaps.
  13. That bike on that website is definitely a Model 80 Sherpa. The tank unit is should be a fibreglass slimline unit. It has Homerlite (aluminium) tank that was fitted to UK model Sherpas around 1973 as fibreglass petrol tanks were banned in the UK. All Model 80 Sherpa engines are 250cc (244.29cc to be precise). In fact until the Model 92 Sherpa T all Sherpa T models were 250cc (other capacities followed both higher and lower). Attached is a scan (taken from another website) of the Model 80 brochure. The only Sherpa models that were less than 250cc (prior to the Sherpa T) were the Sherpa S and Sherpa N that the Sherpa T was developed from.
  14. That doesn't look like an M80 engine to me. M80s were all 250cc. The cylinder heads on these are held on with 6 fixings not 4. The ignition side case is too rounded for the M80 as well. I think this is a 4 speed engine and the number has either been "restamped" or is a badly labelled M8 Engine from a Metralla. These have the same cases as in your photos. Attached are 2 pictures of an M85 engine which is the same as an M80 engine.
  15. No problem. Scanned in high res from the original owners manual we have.
  16. Couple of things to check. Does the switch work as expected i.e. when it is pulled does the circuit connect? Attached is a scan of a M91 owners manual wiring diagram which basically is the same as the Alpina.
  17. Probably be better off fitting some LED bicycle lights and clamping them to the bars / fork legs.
  18. RCM Trialsport do one on ebay listing is "Beta evo Brand new reinforced thicker sump guard 8mm 2009 - 2019 + 2x rear bolts" Easy to fit and shaped well. So much thicker than the standard one. Does not have any place for steel pawls like you see on the CSP sump plate. Depends if you need the extra grip on the sump plate too. Designed and used (so the advert says) by Toby Martin.
  19. Fast goes to full throttle with less turning of the throttle, slow takes more turning. Slower thottles are seen as more controllable as small movements on throttle are small movements on the carb.
  20. That is essentially the same as removing the light and fitting a numberboard with 2 holes drilled in it to mount the cooling block. It sounds like there is some wiring issues
  21. Removing the lights or the mapping switch should not stop the fan from running. Removing the mapping switch just leaves the bike in "summer" setting. I think you will need to go under the seat and check all the connections. It sounds like someone has been fiddling with the wiring.
  22. Taper tops were used until the Model 91/92. The Model 124/125 onward had straight tops.
  23. Part-ex with the supplying dealer of the new one would be the easiest.
  24. Have not got a parts book for the 199A but in the other ones I have (Model 125 onward) that use the same crank seal type are 50mm x 2mm. The Pursang and Frontera late models are 53mm x 2mm.

    Broken

I would not worry about replacing that part. It is only used as part of the lighting circuit. I would replace all the lights with LED bulbs and make it a closed circuit running off a small 12V battery (should fit in the headlight bowl). The original lights are 6V and frankly rubbish. Replacing with LED would make the machine a lot safer as it would be easier seen.I do have one somewhere that I removed from a bike so I will see if i can measure it up for you later.
