  1. Thats why I asked if it only does it in neutral =] its completely normal. All the best Tom
  2. Try this one out with your friends.... find your favorite "Big Rock" and one at a time you and your friend(s) ride up it. Then each of you take it in turns to get closer and closer to the rock and attempt it from a standing start (balanced). Keep getting closer and closer (until you are very close and moving in inches!) until one of you either crashes or chickens out. allowing 3 attempts makes things a bit easier! I like to call it "trials chicken", give it a go, as daft as it sounds it builds up confidence and its good training. All the best Tom
  3. does it only do this when its in neutral? Tom
  4. I always grind it with a dreml cutting disc, then crack it with a pair of mole grips. Tom
  5. If you had read my post you would see why it matters, I was just about to explain but to be honest I cant be a***d with you. Tom
  6. alot of people think that the kickstart's "proper" side is the right hand side, what do all you lot think? Personally I think Beta have got it right, I ride a gas gas now and much prefer it but I think for a trials bike, the kickstart should be on the left, quite simply because the rear brake is on the right! it allows you to keep full rear brake on and kick the bike up thus saving you a 5! All the best Tom
  7. Just replaced mine last week on my 08 =( I was trailing and blew my engine up cos all the fluid had drained out and the engine overheated. Got a second hand one from kelcoat so hopefully should be ok for a while =] Tom
  8. Im sure Billy Craig will be along soon to tell you all about it. from what I gather he absolutly loves his 125 Gasser, he did the SSDT on it too which is pretty impressive! All the best Tom
  9. when the video was resleased of it in testing with Jordi Tarres everyone laughed at me because I said it looked like he was shaking his head and generally looking unhappy with it at the end, maybe I was right? Tom
  10. and just cos my face is hilarious.... last one was taken by Jonny himself. Tom
  11. on the subject of mont rear brake pedals. I had a crack on one and absolutly loved the shape and feel of the rear brake. wonder if i could get one to fit on my gasser.... Tom
  12. are you using a syringe to bleed it from the caliper up? Tom
  13. speedway? would make sense, they dont usually have any brakes (I think) but if I was to have one, it wouldnt need a strong one... Tom
  14. around where I live alot of people refer to trials bikes as "gas gas" bikes. Dont know why but ive had a few people now say "my mate does gas gas riding" etc. Its a bit like "my mates got a harley" even though it's a yamaha chopper. Tom
  15. I would definately reccomend the 250, I have a 300 and while it suits me fine, and im very happy with it, the 250 had a certain thing about it and it felt better. go for the 250, you wont regret it. the only downside is that it has a dellorto carb and not a keihin, but if you want you could just fit one anyway. All the best Tom

wish this was true! I had a 2006 beta (first trials bike) and i had tonnes and tonnes of problems with it and got so fed up in the end I bought a new gasser. most of the time I think its just down to luck, I was unlucky enough to get a bad one. Tom

  19. Ive not broken one, but then again, I dont own one..... seriously though ive not seen any broken ones, but I did see a nifty carbon looky-likey protector at ESTC 2-day trial. and one for the coil (or is it the CDI thats showing? cant remember!), I asked the guy about it but cant remember where he said it was from. personally, it does stick out a bit, but I wouldnt be worried about it, you would have to be damn unlucky for it to get snapped off, probably just as unlucky to get a big stone break your rad. All the best Tom
  20. scorpa or Xispa, but thats only because noone actually bought one.... Tom
