Another of my little used "pets" is a scorpa sy250 racing fitted with a lazy longride kit! one thing that annoys me is that the kickstart batters off the r/hand footpeg every time it is kicked over..... Is it just me missing some way round this, or do we have to live with it???? S.M.

Has anybody made the handlebars higher or lower by adding to or removing the packer/s under the clamps - What do you think? Also are the packers obtainable and where from.

Out riding today and cracked my petrol tank on my 2001 sy250. Petrol leaks out on quite a big crack. Does anybody know if it could be repaired by being plastic welded. or if they have one for sale lying around, a spare. Please. Has it happened to anybody else? Anybody know how much they are brand new?

I took my Scorpa out at the weekend and it run lovely. Brought it home, cleaned air filter and filled it up with petrol. It started and run for about 20 seconds and then stopped. Kicked it a few times and it backfired (very loud). Cleaned carb and cleaned plug and put it back together but with no joy. Has anyone got any ideas.

I have a 2001 SY 250 racing and it has the usual knock but quite loud. I have had the top end rebuilt with new piston rings and little end, but it is still the same. On the overrun it is loud. But when the throttle is open, even partly, it is much quieter. Any ideas on what causes the knock. I would be very grateful for any help.

Just wondering will the scorpa 250 rear end fit the 125? Can you just buy the guard or do you have to chage the airbox etc etc?? Many Thanks James

So which engine oil is everyone using in their SY125/175 as they recommend Motul 300v, so whats the difference between a synthetic that you can use in a car? Or do you need a dedicated one for a motor bike! What about a workshop manuel does Crosswaites do one? would be handy as the one you get the bike with isn't much use.

I understand that Nigel Birkett is now the main importer for Scorpa UK, his website hasn't changed much and no mention of the importership. If you tap in Scorpa uk into google it will still take you to the old website....I was interested in getting hold of the water pump protector off the Scorpa France website (proper alloy job) and I see they do some nice Scorpa clothes. Tried to get hold of Birektt via his website ages ago to order some pants but no answer to emails or nowt...you'd think he'd get his act together if he's the importer

But i want to know the details. What has he done and why?? What are all the mods that have been done, why have they been done and most importantly where is their a pic of the bike.?? (a good close up??) As im in the market for a new SY i want to know all and what they may be offering!! Thanks chaps

I have a tys125f (sy125f) and when i brought it had a partial wiring loom.I need a rear brake light so i decided to fit it and add the extra wiring.I also wired up the horn, kill switch and ignition and brake light from hand and foot. All was well and all worked untill i revved the bike up and it popped the bulb.tried another and on tickover ok but when revved it popped.I guess it's that alloy finned thing i left out because i didn't know where it went ! ( i know rectifiyer / regulator i think ) i cannot get any info on wiring it in ( sh620b-12 ) is the number on it. If i am looking at the front of this with fins at the top the plug at the bottom shows top left a black wire…

Prior to buying my Scorpa, I did a pretty good read of this forum. Somebody posted a link to the Scorpa motor shop manual. Downloaded it, thanks for the link. For some reason the Scorpa web site only opens to the title page; clicking on the logo does nothing, there seems to be no icon or path to get into the contents of the site beyond the logo. Given all of that, is there a chassis manual on line? If so, does anybody have the link? Also, somebody mentioned an NGK plug, but it seems to be discountinued or at least a special order. What readily available NGK plug are you all running? Thanks. BTW I went through the bike and greased the swingarm and head bearings, t…
