Scorpa

Hoping you Scorpa enthusiast can help me out. Was wondering how the early Rotax machines were (are)? My 15 year old son wants to start trials riding with me. I have been offered a mint 97. Almost no hours on it. It looks like it rolled off the showroom floor. The price is hard to pass up. And you know how kids interest change like the wind so I didn't want to through big $$ at it until I'm sure he will actually stick with it. Any advice would be welcome.

Im looking to get a bit more power out of my new scorpa when i get it, has anyone got any links to UK bike shops which does like higher cc heads, High compression head, Ignitions, Carbs etc..... thanks.

Do Yamaha put as much input into the scorpa as honda do the montesa?

hi, i was planning on a long ride tank/seat for my scorpa racing due to me always running out of fuel and if i feel like going on the road with it i cant do anything when i get there due to me having no fuel to get back. 1 tank lasts no time at all !!!! n e way does any one no where to get these in the UK?

Im a Int/Exp and like to ride the odd clubman national but thats as high as I go. I have a pro at the moment but I am thinking of a change. Is the Scorpa more of a clubmans bike eg slow response, dull power compared to others or does it have the 'go/response' of the other bike??

This is not the best tech tip, but it sort of works: For those who have not yet installed some kind of water pump guard on their Scorpas (e.g. my buddy, Roy)... We got some stainless steel braided loom that was big enough to slip over the hose, and it has taken quite a few scrapes and hits without damaging the hose. Wear gloves when you work with this stuff. Some kind of rigid guard (like the one posted that was welded to the skidplate) would be better, but this is fast, easy and cheap.

Just seen the 2005 Scorpa, appears to be no change apart from silver painted frame & different graphics. Not sure about engine.

I have a few marks on the tank & want to respray/ touch up (04 SY250) does anyone have a colour reference for it. Thanks in anticipation.

Having just changed from an 02 Sherco 290 to an 04 Scorpa 250 i find the gearing a bit fast, i have an 11t front & a 38t rear as fitted & a spare 42t from the sherco which i want to know if it is a straight swap or not. Any advice appreciated

I am going to be looking at a 99 Scorpa, is there anything that was problematic to this particular year or is there anything in general that I should watch out for . I am in the process of stepping up from vintage(76 Ossa MAR) is this machine fairly user friendly and what are its shortcomings and strengths. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated. just aquired an 125 started striping it down having a look. I think the same as Honda 50 is it possible to get NGK CR6HSA or NGK CR5HSA Vinnie

I was talking to a fellow who has a 96 Scorpa. He's been trying to bleed the clutch but tells me there is no bleed screw on the slave cylinder and he can't figure out how he's supposed to bleed the air out of this thing. I told him I was clueless (as if he didn't know), but I'd pass the question on to the Scorpa gods in cyberspace. Anyone had any experience with this?

Hi Guys, I'm looking to sort the gearing out a bit better on my 125 4st. I'm finding that second gear dosen't like to pull very well from a standing start up say a hill climb, I'm having to do most decent climbs in first gear!. I know this is going to be a bit suck it and see, I was thinking of going one tooth up on the gearbox sprocket, some body once told me that one tooth on the g/box sprocket is worth 3 teeth on the back!! is this right?. Doing it my way I'm hoping to make second gear more lower (is that right?) I've not really messed around with gearing before so any input would be great cheers P.S Where would i get non std sprockets from??

Could any of you that own SY's do me a favour please? I always seem to bottom the sump guard out on mine on the smallest of rocks etc. Its probably because I'm a fat git but could you all measure what the ground clearance is. If you measure from the ground to the sump plug access hole then I can do the same. Also, I would appreciate it if you could do it with the bike off the stand with no rider, then with a rider on the bike. I know this may be a pain in the a*** but it will help me to determine if all SY's are the same or if its just mine. Thanks.
